TLS Battler Previews #1
🕑 Added 2024-11-07 18:00:09 +0000 UTCThose of you who have been patrons for months will remember the discussions of adding battle busts to TLS as an additional level of polish. Well, we have been working on this in the background and now we're ready to reveal the first set!
You can see the first five illustrated characters above, then their many, many variants. There are some that you may not expect: for example, Aka starts out looking more uncertain, then at a specific point in the game will shift to more confident expressions. Now that we have these systems, I figure we may as well leverage them to show the evolution of the characters. ^-^
(For the record, none of these will actually be added until everyone has a battler. There will be a big combat battler update at some point.)
The primary executive decisions have been made, so this system isn't going to fundamentally change, but if you have any specific feedback you can still feel free to leave it. That's all for now! Look forward to both more of these and more scenes in time.

I was clicking through and forming a comment in my head about the facial expressions and body language and weapon selections and then about 20 clicks in Qum's boobs happened and now I don't remember what the hell I was going to stay.

Up to you when you want to replay, but FYI, there will be assorted new content all through version 1.0.0 in 2025.

The current system does let us pair together busts, but if enough people want unique synergy skill battlers, we can look into that later. If you wanted a real poll options might be limited, but I think we could get by fairly well with a thread here with suggestions and upvotes.

These look great so far! I wonder if there's an easy way for me to poll the fellow patrons for ideas when it comes to potential synergy skill busts? Maybe a poll or something on discord... Though a mod would have to do that for me I suppose. I guess it doesn't matter right now either way since the first priority is to get these busts out in general! :3
