There is an important announcement for today. It will add changes to our original NT schedule.
The artist and I were talking extensively over the past few days, and we decided that we needed to finish one more thing before moving to Neon Touch.
Many of you remember our ancient Roman game called No More Golden Days (For any who have not,, it’s basically a short VN we did three years ago, a lewd tragedy taking place in Ancient Rome)
Now, this is very important. NMGD will not continue in its original form (VN game). Instead, we will do a 20-30 page interactive (much like Choose-your-adventure) manga to finish this story.
We already have a lot of sketches and unfinished art assets for Act 2 and even for the beginning of Act 3 before we decided to put it on hold a few years ago. So we are already at a comfortable place to start.
The manga will include the previous scenes and story, so for those who haven’t gotten a chance to play NMGD, the manga will cover the entire plot.
The reason for all this is that the artist and I had a mutual worry, that once we launch and commit to Neon Touch’s development, there wouldn’t be any opportunity for us to go back and finish the story we started.
We definitely don’t want to put NMGD on hold forever, and as you can see, things pile up quickly since we’re now looking at 3 years without bringing the story to a conclusion.
So, we figured if there’s a good opportunity to finish it, it’s now.
And yes, it will have a significant effect on Neon Touch’s development, so here is the estimated schedule from Studio Kuma for the rest of 2022:
- No More Golden Days Manga - Development starts today, till the end of September.
20-30 Pages, Weekly update starting Next Week
- We will update on a very frequent basis - whenever a page is finished, we’ll post it. Our current estimate is that we could have around four pages done each week with the art assets in our stockpile. So basically we could update it on a weekly basis, starting next week, until the end of September.
- Neon Touch - Initial Launch rescheduled to Christmas Eve.
- We will pause monthly exclusive art for three months (From June to August) because the artist will be working a lot of overtime (with overtime pay) until the end of August to deliver the mange. There are a lot of pages to be done XD
So in sum, we’ll start doing the NMGD manga right away, Our writer Wildquill is looking over the outlines and by next week you should be able to see the first page (including the front page, the intro, and all the stuff that goes before the 1st page of actual drawings) of it.
The plan is to update it on a weekly basis until it’s finished.
Then we’ll switch gears and finish the first update of Neon Touch, which would be out before Xmas.
I can’t express how we appreciate you for being so patient with us, thanks for being here with us, and I hope you guys would enjoy this hard-core manga we are about to bring you.

I'm sorry to hear that! She did a great job as Riley!! With that information, will there be any further update of Milky Touch or is the final from January the last rev?

I hope so, we had almost all character designs done, still need to do backgrounds (which are some quite heavy workloads), as well as all the scenes for our 1st release. If we decides to postpone it a bit more, it wouldn't be a huge delay. Meanwhile we'll have NMGD Manga to enjoy XD

We still couldn't reach her like other devs who had been working with her. So I think she had quit this industry for good.

Kuma, I recommend that you update your banner. It says that Neon Touch has already been released and does not reflect the change by focusing on NMGD first. Also - when can we get an update on the final rev of MT, the one with Riley's VA?

Kuma, in the spirit of wrapping up other projects before the sole focus shifts to NT, can you give us an update on the final rev of Milky Touch with Riley's VA? I know we lost several VA along the way - Karen and Octavia - (due to either availability or cost or both, I imagine). You did say that there would be one final update of MT and I'm hoping for good news!
