Sometimes the chianmail can crack (mine is not historically accurate so it won't do a difference :D) or the weapon can go through the connections between armour but for the time it was used it was pretty safe, although it still hurt even tho people wore a thick coat underneath and it was expensive as hell

That’s such a lovely background for pictures. The mail and sword look gorgeous with that dress, and against your skin. I think my favorite shot was you sheathing your sword in the trees. I’m sure it was cold but the snowy background is a perfect backdrop for your work.
