Slay the Spire video is underway and should be out in approximately one week. Here's a teaser for you in the meantime!
Music subject to change, feel free to let me know what you think about it. I couldn't find anything that matched well with this part of the video from the game's soundtrack so I'm trying something different on this part. Still going to try to use the OST during the rest of the video.

It's a good question. I typically try to not dabble with mods too much until I feel like I've been fully satisfied with the base content of the game. There's a purist part of me that believes mods shouldn't factor into a game recommendation. But sometimes mods really do stand out, either in an interesting or a comedic way. Skyrim is a good example of that - it's almost known more for its mods than the actual vanilla game today.

"Slay the Spire" and "FTL" both bring up an excellent question of game life. The base games can be rather short, especially if you are not achievement hunting or trying to collect everything. Should Mods be a consideration for a game's quality, and duration?
