🕑 Added 2021-06-10 16:44:25 +0000 UTCWell, I owe you an apology for basically disappearing for about 10 days! I was finishing Love Season Chapter 6, trying to release it on the last day of the month when suddenly, well, things happened. Good things, so don't worry! I moved to a new house in a new city between other things, so I couldn't give too much attention to my games for some time.
Anyway, let's get to the news!
Love Season:
I'm almost finishing Chapter 6 and preparing the Steam release. Chapter 6 is called Season Finale for a reason - it contains almost every scene and event from Farmer's Dreams R22, marking a good point for it to exist as a finished product on Steam.
The game isn't over though; we'll continue releasing new chapters as usual!
Farmer's Dreams:
Farmer's Dreams is almost finished! We have 11 new scenes to add before it can stand as a finished product, but hopefully that won't be the end of it. I still have plans to keep adding content to it even after it's finished. Also, even after we finish all these scenes I still have some new mechanics to implement.
From those 11 new scenes, 3 are already made, and we believe 3 more will be done this month, so yeah, we're getting there fast!
The Future:
Farmer's Dreams was cut a bit short because it's just not as popular as we need right now. Honesty, to make everything I had originally planned I would need at least a few more years! It's still my love project and I will keep working on it, but sadly it just can't be our flagship anymore.
We're planning on starting a new project, specially because Love Season too will be finished somewhat soon - it was planned for 10 chapters only since the start. We can extend it depending on its success though, so let's just wait and see - I'll bring you the news as soon as we make a decision =)

I definitely am enjoying Farmer's Dream a lot right now. I'd say it isn't really easy to get into, as it took me a few reruns to slowly get the hang of it, but it was at that point that it became really enjoyable for me! Have yet to try Love Season, but FD alone made me wanna support your work! The choices in the game, leading to different routes and scenes is great, leading to different combinations! Sad to see that it's gonna be cut-short, and less frequently updated tho D: Hopefully it gets more supporters as I feel it really deserve a lot more!

I just became a patron a few hours ago and that's not something I do often. You're characters are engaging and I want to see more of their story. I would guess it's a pickle to be in since you likely wouldn't want to start a third game and risk tiring out your base with a another iteration of the same story, but at the same time it's a risk to abandon it since we're here for that story. I've seen quite a few renpy games that give the visual novel experience and chances for some non-linear adventure as well. For a season 2, I'd suggest merging the two existing projects into something along the lines of Heroes Harem Guild or DeLuca Family to get closer that sweet spot between VN and rpg. Then for a second active project, give us another story that's not related or a spin-off that breaks new ground.
