Version 9 is here
🕑 Added 2018-05-19 20:26:39 +0000 UTC It took a while but Version 9 is finally ready for playing.This version brings a whole new and fancy tech tree. You can see all the buildings and research and their dependencies in it and this should help a lot in planning your progress. This tree also replaces the old research and city build menu.
The second large addition of the game is that now your people have opinions about certain topics. So far implemented are the overall happiness of your citizens as well as their religiousness. Improving the life of your people as well as expanding your kingdom will increase their happiness, your city getting raided will decrease it and so on. There have also been a lot of new events added for when you have very happy/religious or very unhappy/nonreligious citizens.
A few other minor things were also added and a lot of bugs fixed, you can find the full changelog here.

For the next version, the first one with 3D renders, I don’t want to make any promises due to all the new things I will do for the first time, but I will keep you updated on my progress regularly.

I do have a lot of these goddess-like attributes and worshiping planned for the (long term) future but this will really take a while until it gets implemented as it is a complete new story-line I have planned for the late game. But I will try to keep this in mind and look out for options to integrate this a bit more into smaller events in the next versions.

This was a really fun little addition. I really do hope you have some more goddess-type worshiping interactions soon. It can make the end game rather fun. The statue scene is great, but it's a shame you don't hear about the statue later at all. All in all, great update though. The Tech Tree is a nice quality of life feature that helps with planning.
