On the topic of women organizing: As someone born in 1971 in Sweden - the concept of TV remote controls came to our family somewhere in the early 80s. My mother (a woman) decided that Remote Controls weren't toys and were to be treated with the UTMOST respect as the hallowed objects of the future that they were. It should ESPECIALLY not have children play with them (not sure what she envisioned us doing beyond changing channel and, perhaps, turning up the volume until we could no longer hear the neighbor's complaining) because the very delicate innards of this miraculous device would most assuredly break whereupon there would be much woe and gnashing of teeth. As such - my mother hatched a fiendishly clever plan to keep the remote safely out of the hands of the dribbling retards she obviously perceived us as. So she hid it. Very shrewdly. In fact - she hid it so well we never found it again. We have mocked her relentlessly ever since. I think that's probably why I identify as a sock on Twitter and Gab. I blame you, mother! J'accuse!
