I've noticed that the fuck the imperial system crowd is the same "I fucking love science" crowd. It's a substitute for being smart. Instead of actually studying and getting a degree, they scream at the top of their lungs how much they love Neil deGrasse, Nicolas tesla, Rick and Morty, and the metric system. The first thing they teach you in chemistry class is how to do conversions. So people in the field can easily handle the imperial system. The people cosplaying as scientists are the ones screeching.
