After thinking on the timeline some more, Dick is totally right. The show got canned because they realized they were working with a psychopathic, PR disaster who was suing his former co-worker over nothing. This is what led to him having to stream as a banana while quietly take 5 years to make a video, which is of course how long it took for him to get the rights back for his show. He held on to the documentary for the extra year because he wanted to drop it, together with the TV series, on his youtube. It's so funny how he doesn't even realize he's using the documentary as an attention boost, when the documentary and the lolsuit is the whole reason his TV plans fell apart. GFY Also the Vimeo vid by that artist was dropped on November 16, 2018, so I would imagine sometime around then the series was shelved.

Understanding his comedic role in that dynamic is something that requires a level of self awareness and humility that if he did potentially have at one point is completely gone from him now. It is a shame

Maddox's line delivery of "no it doesn't" before tossing the dynamite makes me sad... If he had just owned up to being the buttmonkey character and leaned into getting dogpiled on he would have had a shot. He was at his funniest when being a foil to Dick and being a self righteous weirdo. He could have turned that pushback against his delusions of grandeur into a legit bit. Probably would have helped him work through his brain problems that made him act that way too... like a healthy barrier between that part of himself to observe it from while also making money... rambling but damn every once in a while you see Maddox do something that just reminds you of how badly he blew it.

It's nice to hear Dick say good things about Asterios. I really wish they would work together again. Asterios is hilarious in small doses.

Things do get shelved for all sorts of reasons, I'm sure, but absolutely torching your macho cool guy brand and getting known as the cuck with the lolsuit seems like it'd be near the top of the list
