No Show This Week
🕑 Added 2025-05-04 17:07:51 +0000 UTCI woke up Monday with crippling tinnitus. Constant ringing in my head, louder than MY WIFE and ice hot stabbing pain. Excruciating. Really crazy stuff. I've always had a tiny bit of ringing in my ears from years of piano and radio and hearing loss, but this was something else. Even scritching my shirt with my finger nail would cause physical pain. TV was death. I learned to fear sound and spent the week on the floor of the studio in a fetal alcohol position with ear plugs in to escape it like a zoo animal, which ironically just amplified the ringing. Lol.

Over the last 48 hours, it's improved considerably. The pain is mostly gone and the ringing
has diminished and bounces back and forth between ears like a head cold. As crazy as this sounds, I'm thinking and hoping it's "just allergies". But I didn't know allergies could do that. Apparently they can. At least that's what the gay doctor at Urgent Care told me for $30, and I cried for real for the first time in my life.
I'm hoping it continues to improve and as always, I appreciate the support!

Feel bad for ya man as someone who also plays music. I never had the pain but I got this weird sensorineural loss where certain music notes were off to the extent that a simple clean major chord on a piano would sound discordant and the top end of the frequencies I was losing them. I could only hear the clack of the piano key not the note. A funny side effect was all women's voices sounded weird, like some weird robotic dr who cybermin shit. It came and it went in about 4 months. No rhyme or reason. Just on/off switch. Docs found nothin during the time. Hope yours fucks off for good too buddy.
