Speaking as someone born and raised in the South, your accent was far from the worst attempt at a Southern accent. Most tend to go into over exaggerating it instead of having a natural drawl on the words, especially certain ones, but you didn't fall into that trap. If this was your first attempt at the accent then I give high marks!

I can't lie I was smiling through the entire audio because I was trying to hold in my laughter. I could hear you slipping in and out of the accent and I couldn't help but giggle each time.
