You can’t deny this album can immediately pick you up if you’re down or going through something, positive vibes all around! I agree the lyrics for The Sign, Grrrls and Birthday Girl are absolutely terrible - those songs only worked slightly better when I saw Lizzo live and was on my third or fourth drink of the night. Generally her lyrical content throughout the album is a bit immature and not very subtle. But this whole album is really just an extension of her personality which is loud, positive, silly and fun. And I understand she didn’t want to make a serious record anyway 😂 fun listening to the album alongside you again and can’t wait for the next reaction. David x
