You really nailed his speech patterns and his throaty vocal quality, and the moments where his mask slips and eventually falls entirely were *chef's kiss*. If this fits into his backstory like I think it does, I can see the pain coming like an approaching freight train. I think Neil would be proud.

A few months ago, I was watching a bunch of BG3/Astarion cut scene videos which I think nudged the algorithm to suggest the touch starved vampire video, which then brought me here. Oh, gods! The subtext! You captured it so well! And his shift to scared (which in Astarion's world, scared=angry and bitter) was on point. It's very obvious that you took a LOT of time to get to know the nuances of the character and write a script that captures it well. You should be so proud of yourself, phas. Lol!!!! I first heard of him from YT, where I was recommended a video of his VA responding to thirsty tweets (which was v funny) and then eventually watched some shorts with the character and every so often he pops up on my home page or a random creator mentions him. xD
