Since my original comment this has become one of my favourite audios that I keep coming back to again and again (and again…), and now I am in love with Gale Dekarios 😂. This story is so very sweetly written and I love Phas’s sensitive delivery. I just love it so much. Almost enough to go and buy a gaming PC so I can actually play BG3 😬. I hope the story continues. Well done 🥰

I absolutely adore this. Just started my newest playthrough romancing Gale and I have to say this has awakened a crazy theory in me. Hear me out, Gale meets his new lover/ student and falls for them. However Mystra doesn't like that Gale is turning his usually devoted attention away from her so she does what Mystra usually does and deploys Elminster to bring him in as an apprentice. Once there and away from his new lover, Elminster keeps Gale so busy the letters and magical missives become scant until eventually they part ways and now Mystra could begin to court him as her lover. It all makes his story so much more tragic.

This is so good, didn’t think Gale could take up any more of my headspace but guess I was wrong. You completely nailed the cadence, intonation and inflections and the writing was perfect. i've really struggled to get words onto the page for many months now. it's been a source of huge frustration and anxiety for me. i really WANT to write again, it isn't that i feel burnt out or don't enjoy it any more - for whatever reason, i just can't get it to happen. i might manage a few hundred words here or there, but yeah, i haven't been able to actually complete a script for a while. i hope this changes eventually. i'm so glad to have audrey, in the meantime.

I really appreciate how you and Audrey manage to capture Gale's nuances. His high maintenence overcompensating followed by self deprecating, but in a really sweet and charming way. Also, hugging Gale to calm him down and stop focusing on the negative is something I headcannon my Tav doing, so thank you for reaching into the ether and diving that XD

The more scholarly, non-mystra Gale is funny to me. I love it, but definitely a bit silly to me. Also the difference between ‘Gale Dekarios’ and ‘Gale of Waterdeep’ is great! Wonderful work however both in writing and performance as always. Much Love. <3

I don’t think this really contains any spoilers. I only just started playing BG3 a couple of months ago, but Phas’s BG3 audios seem to be set before the events of the game. They reference the in game world but they’re fun on their own too. Great appetizers before actually playing.

Your Gale is phenomenal, that breathiness, desperation, and awe--and just general Gale-ness--you expressed in your voice felt just how he does in-game and your attention to detail in creating immersion is top notch, as usual. The reclusive wizard bod is much appreciated 🤝🏽 (as was the piano bit 😂)
