🕑 Added 2016-10-13 02:43:32 +0000 UTC Blood Feather threw her front hoofs up in the air and flopped on her back in my Equestria dreamscape.“Your Highness I got nothing! I tried every trick I know and that griffin hasn't said a peep!”
Blood Feather, Quick Silver, and Phoenix were in the Princess's private study reviewing their findings and successes on solving the case of the griffin intruder. Unfortunately successes were few and far between.
Quick Silver slowly lowered her tea cup from her lips and looked at pegasus. “Every trick Blood Feather?”
The mare got this embarrassed look on her face. “Okay not every trick. Besides I don't like griffins that way, and I don't think he's interested in ponies. Also you don't have much privacy in a dungeon cell. I think Gleaming Shield might become offended if I tried anything like that.”
“Thank you Blood Feather for considering that fact.” Said the Princess of Sun with only the tiniest hint of sarcasm in her voice. She finished slicing up the strawberry cheesecake and proceeded to distribute slices on to waiting plates; she then levitated them to her Mares-in-Waiting. “Does anyone need more tea?”
“It's like he's either afraid to talk or trying to protect someone.” Said the pegasus as she stuffed a piece of cake into her mouth. “Oh! This is good your Highness!”
“Maybe if you were a griffin he'd feel more inclined to talk to you.” Said Quick Silver in her steady, monotone voice.
Blood Feather rolled her eyes. “Yes but I'm a pony so that's a problem.”
The earth pony slowly took a bite of her cake. “I am have had more success with my polymorph potions. I might be able to make you griffin for awhile.”
Phoenix who had been reviewing some paperwork looked up and scowled at Quick Silver.
“You mean the stuff you tried on me last week?”
Quick Silver nodded her head. “Yes, that solution is much more stable and safer than my older attempts.”
The unicorn glared at the earth pony through the iridescent lens of her goggles. “More stable and safer. The same solution that caused me to burst into flames is safer?”
Quick Silver blinked. “Yes safer, it didn't kill the test subject. Unlike that poor guinea pig”
Phoenix growled. “The only reason I survived and the guinea pig didn't is due to the fact I am almost im.....”
“Ladies.” Celestia cut in. “This is not productive. Now Phoenix, in spite of not finding any immediate about the suspect you did find out some information about his gear that could be useful?”
“Yes your Highness. I put out some leads through my network and scored a hit. This griffin got the wards that let him break into the palace from a unicorn in Fillydelphia. Goes by the name Broken Beaker. Apparently he makes and fences magical item and components. Rumor has it he didn't make this batch of wards but acted as the distributor of them. About a week before the break-in a griffin more or less matching our guest in the dungeon was seen talking to Broken Beaker in a pub. Unfortunately I am still attempting to get further information.”
Phoenix looked at Celestia. “Have you taken a stab at getting the griffin to talk to you. Have you questioned him directly?”
The Princess shook her head. “No. Except for a brief meeting Luna and I have been finalizing negotiations with the dragons concerning their migration. Needless to say we have made numerous, exacting demands on their council before we'll allow them to enter our airspace.”
Blood Feather ruffled her wings. “I say they should just have to go around Equestria and deal with it!”
Celestia nodded her head. “And if they don't meet exactly everyone of Luna and I's demands that is what they will have to do.” She looked out at the gardens beneath her window. “So any other ideas or suggestions to get the griffin to speak?”
“Flowers and chocolates?” Said Blood Flower.
“Wait him out until he gives in.” Said Quick Silver.
“A length of rubber hose.” Said Phoenix.
Celestia looked disapprovingly at the unicorn. Phoenix blushed. “Joking! Joking!”
The alicorn poured herself some more tea and took a sip. After a couple seconds a smile spread across her face.
“You know Quick Silver your first idea had merit.”
“You mean the polymorph potion your Highness?” Asked the earth pony.
The alicorn shook her head. “No the fact if their was another griffin our suspect might be more willing to speak! And I think I know just the griffin!”
Blood Feather suddenly got a wicked grin. “Oh your Highness are you going to unleash Kessandra on him? If anyone can get him to talk she just might be it!”
The Princess of the Sun eyes sparkled with mirth. “Exactly.”

Like one of our meetings......pre operations. We use coffee and donuts. Over this we discuss how we are going to serve this felony warrant. Who swings the ram. Who enters first. Hard or soft option. I am usually second. Right behind the shield. 12 ga ready to start sweeping if necessary.
