Uh, was that necessary?

The statue was of a female griffin with a scowl on her/its face who was leaning forward and presenting an upraised middle finger from its left hand. After a moment the hippogriff looked down at the cockatrice she was holding. The cockatrice's stare remained locked on the statue. After a moment Silverstream spoke to it.
"Uh, I know that Gilda is often a very blunt and abrasive griffin, but, uh, was that necessary? I'm positive that Edith would've told you that wasn't polite."
The cockatrice clucked and hissed as it continued to stare at the statue. Silverstream sighed.
"Yes, yes I understand but please turn her back."

Gilda is DEFINITELY not the most pleasant individual to be around...I sometimes WISH I had a cockatrice I could pull out when my mom and little brother start arguing (like solid-state sodium and water they are). I'd make sure it was only temporary...granted, putting it on hold though might just make things worse.

*laughs* You can so easily imagine the lead up to this scene especially with Gilda's hot temper. And I'm also sure Edith is also thinking being polite to Gilda probably would've made things worse.
