It took some effort but was accomplished. Hard part was keeping the power up. The Crown Vic was not known for acceleration. The bestest were the Chargers with the 5.7 Hemi’s and even better the Mustang LX 5 speed. Tiny car….big motor. Easy to slide by power breaking the rear end then feather that throttle and correct with over steer….achieve that balance between control and spinning out. Now I drive an Explorer the all wheel drive negated the power slide but it does turn quick and the twin turbos will punch it forward. Pretty neat for a V6.

All good ones. I train pursuit drivers using Flirting with Disaster. Nothing says it better than going into a high speed power slide through a hard turn keeping the momentum and heading for the next…..and seeing the wide eye of the trainees as I head into the next turn.
