Why is she nude...good question. Maybe she's been captured by an evil corporate state and has escaped from her cell. Having killed a security officer she's obtained their sidearm.
Maybe it's just because she's in a cyberpunk setting. Whatever the reason that's how they wanted the character to be presented.
By the way the pistol she's holding is a Maxim 9. Link I don't know if the design team at SilencerCo had a slogan or mission statement for the project, but now having done a study of the pistol and having drawn it I have come up with my own.
Straight lines are cool, but parallel lines are for sissies!
The Maxim 9 has more surface excitement than any pistol I have drawn in quite awhile. In particular the pistol has multitude of lines that angle away from each other because.....I don't know why. Whatever the reason it is visually a very distinctive pistol.

Yes it did. When I was doing the initial study of the pistol I had noted it and that it might be a problem. However once I started drawing it...whee!

My first thought on seeing a nude female cyborg badass is “Ghost in the Shell,” so that’s where my mind immediately went on seeing this.
