Link They're just confused and are grappling with the idea that their little sister is growing so quickly before their eyes.
So it has fallen to Granny Smith to take the 2 foals aside and have a version of The Talk with them. As a mother she's the most experience at Sweet Apple Acres, and usually she'd expect Stone Mane's parents or guardians to talk to him. However they are far, far away so she's decided to discuss it with the colt as well. Lets see if the lessons stick.
