v.08 is complete!
🕑 Added 2015-02-01 08:58:21 +0000 UTC To all ye naysayers (of which there were none,) I say, ha! As of 3:47 AM, EST, v.08 of Crisis Point: Extinction is complete and ready for release, despite the short time window to completion after v.075! It was tight, but I promised you guys I'd catch up in January and I refused to let you all down again. As of now, Patreon hasn't even started charging cards so the update isn't actually being sent out yet, but it's fully ready for once things go through! Time to go over the completed goodies!UPDATE v.08 GOALS
-Implement Spread Shot upgrade
-Finish Wire Shot upgrade
-Add new enemy (Flying Aliens)
-Implement menu to disable objectionable content
-Update boss fight, modify difficulty
-Add floating platforms for Wire Shot
-Create more content (areas)
-Over a dozen minor issues fixed
For those of you interested in the minor issues, I'll go over the more interesting ones at the end of the post. Some of them were things I had been meaning to fix for ages and just kept forgetting about. On to next month's goals!
UPDATE v.09 GOALS
-Begin implementing Map system
-Implement checkpoint system (NOT save system)
-Implement more uses of the Wire Shot
-Add new movement stance (limping) to be used for various status effects
-Add flying alien's cumming animation
-Add new enemy (Latchers)
-Add new environmental hazards
-Create more content (areas)
-Fix more minor issues
v.09 is.. ambitious, to say the least. I honestly have no idea if I can get all of this stuff done in time, but I'll try my best! Please say you'll forgive me if I have to knock one or two things back <3
This has been an interesting month. Lots of stress all around, from taxes and health insurance and all sorts of garbage. Now that it's over though, I'm satisfied with how it went, and extremely happy with the update that came out of it. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

Minor Issues fixed in v.08
-Slimes still spawn items when killed by leaving zone
-Slimes jump animation when kicked is sometimes incorrectly timed
-Items do not disappear after changing zones
-Arrows do not damage enemies
-Tentacle activation radius should be slightly bigger
-Arrow traps need 'cooldown' timer after being triggered
-Some areas too dark in windowed mode, adjust lighting levels
-Player can stand up while crouching underneath something by using Aim button
-HP collectible spawn chance doesn't scale properly
-Boss particles hard to see in windowed
-Moans for slime duo scene are incorrect

Glad you liked him, lol. Those conversations were all written last minute and they're probably my favorite part of the entire update :P

Bloody hell. Thanks for the heads up, I'll add it to my list of glitches to fix. As for getting your head stuck in the ceiling, see if you can make it happen in v.08. I tried fixing it there.

I can see why you're so proud of this particular update, I absolutely lost it when I saw "Witty pants-less banter man" no longer pants-less but just as witty.

HI Anon, What seems to be happening is if you slide down the short passage too early, she stands up in between the passage and gets stuck in the wall. I done a bit of testing and found different timings if I slide just as she gets closer to the short passage and don't press any other keys, the slide animation is enough to get her down it without getting stuck... so maybe just me being bad with timing or impatient to wait for slide animation to finish before doing something else?

Hi Anon, Since I only started subscribing to you from end of January so I could only access the 0.75 release when you made it public on your forum page. I tried using a slide combo to slide under the low wall, then attempted a crouch, then when I stood up her shoulder got stuck in the wall, and the walk\run animations are playing but she won't move forward or back.

What the hell..? Why have people been getting stuck there so much all of a sudden?? I'm not even talking about "after v.075 came out," either, more like "in the last 3 days." I have no idea why that's happening. Can you explain to me in more detail how you got to be stuck there? Like, what buttons were you pressing and such?

Arrow keys don't work, the slide combo and crouch key don't work either. Is this a bug or is there a way to get out of it?
