Status update
🕑 Added 2017-08-03 07:14:36 +0000 UTC So, it's probably obvious to most people with an internet connection by now that I didn't make the deadline for releasing before August. My sincerest apologies for that; working on a laptop without a real mouse proved to be more troublesome than I anticipated, and I don't really have a place I can use as a desk here either. I'm still pretty confident about getting this update out within the next week or so, though; if it's not done before the end of my trip, I'll be working around the clock to get it out once I'm back home. Still, really sorry for the delay, everyone. If you're wondering what I've been up to, I've been focusing on sound a lot the past week or two; our new sound effects guy is hard at work pumping out tons of new sfx (there are probably around 40 or so new ones just in this update), but as that Warped Scientist shitpost made apparent, I also recently took the plunge and hired voice actors for the humanoid enemies in Crisis Point! Every humanoid currently in the game has a voice actor/actress now, so I've been working on getting their clips in, finding the right balance for how often they should play, etc. I'm extremely happy with it, so hopefully you will be too - however, I do plan on eventually having individual voice toggles for every enemy in the game, just in case you'd rather they stay silent. That won't be in this next update though, just for the record. I might separate their sex and battle noises as well; we'll see how it works out. That's about all on Crisis Point right now. For anyone who's interested in my personal life,and the bad news is that this trip has been a bit of a disaster. Remember how I said part of why I came here was to spread my father's ashes and get some closure? I don't want to get into the details, but that's not happening. The good news is I can officially confirm I've moved from denial to anger, so that's at least 2/5 stages of grief done with. Thanks again for all your patience and support, everybody. I really don't know what I'd do without you guys. With whatever God that exists as my witness, I'll be making good on my promises again in no time. -A42Comments

Thanks, I appreciate the understanding. I'm not angry about my work or anything, just the shit surrounding this vacation that led to me being unable to be there when my father's ashes are spread. As far as not pushing myself, I get what you're saying, but I can't really afford that financially now. Crisis Point's patreon is lower than it's been in a looong time, and with all the people I've hired now, it's only a matter of time before I have to fire people or run out of money. The lowered income is a direct result of how little I've been putting out lately, so it's not like it came out of nowhere. The time for taking it slow has come and gone and I need to get myself in gear.

Thank you, I appreciate the offer! This is just a temporary problem while I'm visiting my family though, and my trip will be over in a few more days. I have a great mouse and work setup at home, so I'll be fine once I'm back there.

Take your time and do not push yourself too hard. A lesson many people need to learn. A mouse is pretty cheap, but if you can't spare the money for one I'm sure I have an old one laying around my place that I could mail to you. Honestly not sure if it still works, but I never use it.
For the love of god, relax and don't push yourself so hard! If things go south, don't be angry, just play it cool, and remember that it really happens to everyone...
