As much as the former adviser of King Foltest would not like to live among the swamps of Velen, but she had to hide from the King of Redania and the Emperor Nilfgaard at once.
Even in such conditions, Keira Metz remained very materialistic. At every convenient opportunity, she ran away to her illusory world away from the smell of swamps and local villagers.
Somehow coping with her primary desires of luxury, she really lacked one, the lustful looks of men of high ranks, whether aristocracy or magicians. But the realities were such that she had to satisfy her intimate desires with uncouth and sometimes very rude village yokels.
From here, whole queues of men wishing to "heal" reached out to the Village witch..
