Not a lot of salons do perms anymore, but you can perm straight using the same stuff you would use to perm curly. You just continuously comb it strait as it sets (instead of using rollers to curl).

I am an enviro law student in Canada and I feel like there are not enough events like these so it is super cool to have two incredible people with differing skills to come together and make this happen! Maya, I've always thought your face has a resemblance to my childhood friend. She's a natural red head (not subtle, very bright red/orange) with dark brown eyes and eyebrows, tan, with very few freckles. She looks amazing, so I'm sure you would too.

Maya, I've super thick dark eyebrows and have had my hair almost every color. The only time I got made fun of for them was when I tried to dye them. It was horrendous. Your eyebrows are great, leave them alone! 🥰

I live in Dallas and if there is ever a safe way that you, Maya, can figure out to host people at Alveus or whatever else you would want to do, I would absolutely love to come see the animals. One of my favorite things to do is check in on the live cams and watch your educational videos! I completely understand your safety comes first and the safety of the animals but if you could ever have people there, it would be awesome :) <3

As a not natural red head i use auburn eyebrow pencil n it makes a difference!

Check out Karen Gillan and Isla Fisher for the dark eyes and eyebrows with red hair. I think it would look good, Maya. I would just suggest starting out more subtle red to see if you like it and then you can always go redder later. You have a lot of natural warmth in your hair anyway so I don’t think it will look that drastic.

Alrighty -first pic of maya with red hair the top one looks sick! I think that red would be spot on -I agree with QT, seeing other ppl be happy or excited def wakes that part in me as well. -I would ask whomever you think should come to the gala. Maybe something casual like “would you be interested in coming to a charity gala?” Kind of chill and go from there. Maya is right though, I would ask vs not -for shows at Alveus, kinda weird but what if you did kids shows only, buy a bus and pick them up and maybe a couple parent chaperones at a stop and blindfold transport them to the sanctuary? Play a tape full of facts to keep them busy? I know a wild thought but I think those that wanna come by would do it
