Turns out I might just be a boomer, and at least in the patreon app I can play the video with the screen locked. It might be shit for my data usage but it works as audio only so if there's no other demand, I'm good

It looks like I can potentially download the audio track but it can't play innately from the patreon app. In my mobile browser there is no 3 dot option, however I was able to enter the filter and back out of it, which provided the audio only version but definitely doesn't seem intended lol
