Irrational lifelong fear: frogs. As a kid I had recurrent nightmares about frogs jumping out of a rock area in my lawn. In the dream there’d be hundreds of them. I’d get smothered somehow. And since then even tiny little frogs scare me for no good reason. My mom tried to cure me by bringing frogs inside. That made it worse.I’m slowly working on it through online exposure & zoo visits. Outside of those spaces I’m not there yet 🫣

speaking of weird fears, i have a fear of pretty much anything that flies. butterflies, birds, any bug that can fly, all sportsballs, and even bugs that can't fly but are higher up than i am and could potentially drop down. butterflies are probably the worst though

on the subject of weird fears: as a kid, someone shanked a punt on a football on the playground and it went right at my head. somehow i didnt get concussed, but ever since, ive been afraid of fast-moving footballs, soccer balls, and baseballs. (basketballs are fine though lol)
