what Rae mentioned when it comes to Vanilla is so important imo. The fact that sometimes like super jovial and social people are sometimes super anxious is so underrepresented. Yeah I agree with QT about the fat jokes. Especially when Cinna admitted that she knows she's not fat, that kind of made it worse imo. It's one thing for a person with body image issues to make jokes about themselves but skinny people making fat jokes just kinda feels gross. It's like if Ludwig made jokes about being poor and not being able to make rent with everyone knowing he's doing really well. It's been frustrating to see since in the streamer space all of the women are objectively attractive and fit the beauty standard compared to the rest of us. Beautiful successful talented people making jokes about things that the rest of us do actually have to deal with just feels not good. At least I understand QT making those jokes because even though she is still way above average she does have body image issues and a history of ED. But this issue is a bigger discussion than can be had in a comment section.

I do appreciate QT calling attention to the fat jokes. I do wish the conversations about this topic didn't always devolve into insisting everyone in the conversation ISNT fat as if being fat is some moral failing. Saying its just a joke, instead of addressing the fact that using it as an insult is harmful. Being fat is fine, fat isn't a bad word. people are fat and hot and its literally okay, but using it as a pejorative is very elementary. Cinna saying "Its fine I tell everyone its just jokes" is missing the point. Using fat as an insult is the issue and people who are fat will watch the streams and feel unwelcome and isolated even further. AS someone with PCOS its medically very hard to lose weight! I have to live in a body where I will likely be fat my whole life and its okay! Luckily I am very secure in myself but someone who is not seeing this over and over by their favorite content creators can be very disheartening. Most people in their life will be overweight at some point and the earlier you realize that you'll literally be fine if you are and that its the most morally neutral thing ever you will be a happier more secure person I PROMISE

I appreciate the nuance conversation about how even among friends making fun of people's weight can affect the people watching. I opened a stream recently and there were so many back to back fat and gay jokes and I genuinely took me off guard because so many, especially younger viewers, don't get that nuance they generally will think that's okay and judge themselves in others at the standards

Thanks for addressing the weight comments! I have PCOS and weigh far more than I'm comfortable with, but have such a hard time losing weight no matter what diets or exercise I try. It's better to just try to be healthy and love yourself along the way!
