I haven’t seen the actual Snoop apology, but from what people are saying he said, is not even a complete apology. I wouldn’t be surprised if most people don’t know the full context because it surrounds the Australian Football League (AFL). A very brief overview: Before this happened, Snoop Dog had just been announced for the AFL Grand Final performance which is our biggest sporting event of the year. There has been a long history of intense homophobia in the institution and earlier this year they added much harsher punishments for players using slurs and promoted a push for equality. Snoop did multiple interviews and appearances where he repeatedly expressed enthusiasm for the sport and saying he’s followed it for a while and is part of the community. A few weeks before the Grand Final, for the first time ever in the 130 years of the sport, an ex player comes out as LGBT and opens up about his experiences. Very soon after this snoop makes the homophobic post. Which causes a lot of outrage, especially given the AFLs new stance and policies. Things get very messy with a push to replace him and a statement released that the afl does not agree with him but there’s a contact. Snoop got quiet on public appearances until the show and never acknowledged the impact we have seen by enabling the behaviour given how fragile the progress was. And the timing really can’t be ignored given how involved he was and how big a news story the AFL cracking down on homophobia had become.

Yup, Halo was great for the time it was released. But it isn't my favorite. Because the sequels improved in many ways from the original. And even then! I believe Halo isn't a shining example of FPS games. To this day, Half-Life 1 still manages to show its age, but also be satisfying and impressive. Not many games have been able to be both "nostalgic" but also playable by todays standards.

I find most SNL skits pretty mid, but that one was like getting whiplash. What a weird take making the Try Guys look like the pathetic ones and defending the guy who cheated on his wife, and mother of his child, with an employee. Brushing it off as a “consensual kiss between adults”, even trying to make having a “side piece” seem like a normal thing. Gross.

The Ned Fulmer thing was so sweet hahaha I remember when they Try Guys first split from their original workplace. Ned was always just an asshole. They'd do drinking episodes and he would just be a dick to everyone whilst talking about his wife constantly but also looking really fucking nervous every time he was with her.
