they do human testing and they offer compensation for it, my mom's volunteered for that kind of thing in the past. I don't think it pays very well, though. Doesn't strike me as worth it (what if you have a really shitty skin reaction or something)

doesn't make it less sad though, especially in having to kill them because they escaped :( there are scientists trying to develop methods to move away from animal research entirely, but it will take a long time especially things like cancer research

primates are not used in animal testing for cosmetics (or at least as far as i know of, but it is very hard to get approval to test on monkeys so i would be very surprised). they would be used in biomedical research (think diseases research) and only in cases where it is required to get an animal very close to human genetics

And Foolish did do his own make up, bet you Tina would do way better if she did but he did a great job. Idk where he got the costume if it's Tina's or Foolish went out of his way to get 2 costumes this year.

I think trying to be uppity and happy when you're not is unhealthy and ingenuine. Feel and speak what and how you want o7 Unless when you watch back and want to remember the good times than be reminded of the bad times, that's fair, too. Poki mentioned only writing good times in journal and it helped her mental health.
