I would like a follow on of the New Zealand story! It did seem like something I would like to read more of, good characters in the first team.

DevilDoc82

While I agree that the dual language format did detract from the read, I do like that it addresses and/or links some of the plot threads across the QTverse.

Good chapter. Like a palate cleanser in a good meal, it's enjoyable on it's own, and refreshes the senses to continuing enjoying the main attraction.

Admiral Ale

A filler but cute. And as always STAY SAFE, and well.

You also have to remember that every nation seems to be keeping secrets as well so it isn’t just the U.S. It appears that even with so much death and destruction, leaders or wannabe leaders are looking to take over as much as possible just like it has always been. It’s sad how many nations begged for help and then are willing to stab those helpers in the back for a power grab.

Kaywye

Yes, but I wonder how many foreign countries are willing to accept that explanation. Especially when they have few options besides the QT serum. The seeds of resentment will be sown...nobody likes being dependent on anyone for their continued survival.

Thanks for your thoughts, I admit that my frustration with the language stuff made me miss some of the nuances of the chapters. Thanks for trying something new, we did get cool stuff that way!

All the intermissions are one-and-done, so if you didn't enjoy it, there'll be another chapter with Andy along soon enough.

It's not really a question of the US keeping secrets so much as there's so much to know and so much of it is specialized knowledge.

Corrupting Power

I'm sorry you feel that way. There's a lot of subtle worldbuilding going on in the chapter (mentions of the European uses of the various types of the serum - US/UK/German, talk about the Bluebeard strain of DuoHalo, some of the more upcoming problems like what happens when the supply of people runs out, the unique situation of the incredibly few teenage survivors in the Bubble House) but, as with all intermissions, it's a one-off, attempting to do something different.

Fumtu

I''m thinking with as much dialog that there is that is not in English (seemed like over half, but is probably more like 30%). it probably needs to be put into separate paragraphs or something like that, so the reader can skip over that parts that they cannot understand, instead of having to scan down to the next part in English, which takes longer. I agree that when almost all of the action in this chapter was a conversation at a cafe, it's a little disappointing. It seems like there might have to be quite a few chapters to finish this intermission...

Paulo Gerardo Paculdo

Splendid Intermission written there. I do hope that there's a follow up to this either written by you or by someone else.

Kaywye

That was an awesome little glimpse into the European perspective of things. I understand the idea that the US isn't telling them everything about the serum...but the idea of keeping stuff secret about it seems... counterproductive. I mean the problem is the US doesn't fully understand the serum, and everything it does. Unfortunately that can't be helped when they had to rush the rollout of thenserum due to you know...everybody dying cause of the virus.

I'm sorry, but I found that unbelievably irritating. If you want to publish in 2 languages, fine, but separate them please. This seemed like a throwaway chapter, nothing happened except some scenery building with Andorra. It really seemed like the language stuff was the whole point of the chapter, sadly. Hopefully you got it out of your system.

KernFlakes

Nooooooo....don't end it like that. How dare you!!! 😡
