Status update Episode 2
🕑 Added 2019-03-22 14:36:29 +0000 UTCThis week I mostly rendered animations but also a few scenes with static renders. The animation count is really coming along nicely... I'm not going to reveal the final count, yet, because it might increase.
All I can say is that it will kick Episode 1's ass. 54% of the animations have been rendered, but worth noting is that almost all long animations (8-17 seconds long) have been rendered to completion. The ones that remain are between 2-5 seconds long.
Today I counted the number of frames (1 frame = 1 static render) in the animations that are completed this far. I couldn't believe the final count. 3778 renders...and I'm not done yet.
To put that into perspective, Acting Lessons Episode 1-8 had ~5000 static renders. It is scary, but it's scary in a really good way.
This wouldn't be possible without you guys. You're the ones who've made it possible for me to upgrade my equipment to be able to handle this.
It can't be said enough, thank you all for the support. You make a huge difference in the development.
I've been writing a lot of dialogue this week and I just keep adding more scenes and thus more work for myself, but I know that the Episode will be so much better if I include those scenes.
I'm very close to wrapping up the final scene in terms of dialogue; this means I will have the boundaries for the Episode completed and have a better grasp of knowing how much work there's left to do.
After the dialogue is completed, what's left is to code the following things:
- Relationship and DIK scores
- Freeroam events
- Minigames
- Bios app
- Chat app
- A few more songs/sound effects
Other than that, it's just to continue to produce a large number of static renders and let the animations render to completion until the Episode is completed.
This weekend I plan to pose as many static renders as possible.
It's still too early to say a release date. But I'm so excited for this Episode!

I'm very glad to hear that you like my games. Sadly, my current game is only for PC, Mac and Linux. Maybe that will change in the future when I get more time/resources for it.
I'll support u all the way lol. I love your games. I know acting lesson is on android platform I'm happy that's what I got but my question is that are you going to put your new games on android as well because I wanna try your new game as well. That's all I got is android. Acting lesson was a very good game. Story was great. Songs was very good at backgrounds to all scenes. Animated scene was good to me. Multi endings. I love it I still trying to play my second though and see how it ends, HD graphics I love it. Its romantic. Thank DrPinkCake you are doing a wonderful job of your games better than a lot of adult games out there so far your is the best.

I was heart broken and sad when I completed episode 6 on acting lesson on my cousins phone and now I want to finish the storty acting lesson on my phone and that's why I'm here.
How do you download the game acting lesson.

Yes, you remember correctly. That was a slight mistake. I did map out the story in advance and put a number on it very early on, instead of adapting the pace in the later part of the game. I should have made a few more episodes, even so I'm very happy with how it turned out. For BADIK I have a new approach with all that experience in the luggage. The story line has already been written, so I know where the story is heading and what I work towards. But I won't set a fixed number of episodes on BADIK. Time will tell how many episodes there will be. All I know is that it will be bigger and longer than AL. 10-20 is a good approximation, but it may change depending on the development. All I know, I'm gonna do everything I want with this game and it will take the time it takes.

I remember with Acting Lessons, you had a specified and pre-determined number of episode/chapters you meant for it to take/last. Is this also true w/ BADIK? How many? I thought AL was best ever mostly due to my emotional buy-in and connection w/ the characters (close or tied best w/ Depraved Awakening); but BADIK may just steal that crown. But waiting for next chapter is torture at times.

Script wise, it's bigger too. Not by a lot, but I'm not done yet either. I don't know your reading speed but compared to Episode 1, expect at least slightly more.

Shaping up to be one of the great adult games in this space ever. You deserve more Patrons for this one. How does number of actual scenes compare from Episode 1 to 2?
