Status update Episode 9

This week I wrote more dialogue, worked on plenty of animations, performed computer maintenance, and more.
I've had some annoying PC malfunctions lately. Two of my rigs broke, and I had to replace them with new workstations, and so I have.
Everything is up and running as usual, but it did take some time to synchronize everything and start fresh with the new PCs.
The PCs that broke were a bit over 3 and 5 years old, and the way I've been using them, it's about time they threw in the towel. Thanks for your service and the tens of thousands of renders you made!
Hopefully, these new PCs will last at least three years without problems.
Speaking of time, next Tuesday, it's been four years since my Patreon page saw the light of day. I have a special Acting Lessons post and some art prepared for all patrons to see to celebrate the occasion.
I started and finished the Special Render series for Josy that you voted for in the poll a few weeks ago.
Since I haven't worked on Josy like this since Episode 1, I've enjoyed making it a lot, and I pulled all stops for her series.
I don't want to hype the render set too much, but I would probably place the set itself in my top 3 sets of all time so far. I'm very happy about the quality.
Her set will have 20 special renders in episode 9, and its theme will be clubbing.
I'll post a preview of it this weekend, and I made an effort to make the special renders with 4k quality for Patreon.
Poll news
Last week's poll was very close. The different tiered polls had three different girls in the first place: Nicole, Riona, and Lily.
After counting the votes from all tiers, the winning combination was:
- Riona
- Clothing: Lingerie + Nude
- 2D animation: Vaginal sex
I'll order a 2D wallpaper of Riona with Lingerie + Nude combinations and a 2D animation with vaginal sex for episode 9.

Not everyone is a collector. But I’ve played through the game several times to collect everything. But I still can’t get that last pic of Rio. I swear I would tear down that basketball hoop and light it on fire, if it were real.

Also, working in the IT industry isn't just about technical knowledge, it's also about efficiency and business continuity. We don't always solve every little hardware malfunction if it takes longer than our SLOs (Service Level Objectives). Replacing an entire PC is common practice, and after 3 years, it also meets asset lifecycle standards.

Also, there's still a global microtransistor shortage affecting individual parts. These days, especially when it comes to the GPU, it's cheaper to just buy a prebuilt desktop, and the specs aren't horrible.

If the winners were Camila, Riona and Lily it would have been perfect, but at least I can be 2/3 happy about the results xD

Gotcha - wasn't sure how difficult it would be to link up with the Season 1+2 file if it's still installed and pull the data from there. Makes sense though.

Honestly, I don't get connected to the 2D art. OK, I understand that it makes sense for Jacobs drawings. But what else? For me it feels a bit "out of the game". Also for the phone background, a "normal" picture would make more sense. Maybe a photograph that MC could have taken of the girls. And the purpose of the 2D animation I don't understand at all. Maybe I am the only one thinking like that... but that's just my two cents.

IF you want the PCs to last longer and you are running them hard make sure you give them a good cleaning and that you change the thermal paste at least annually.

Just curious when you say the PCs died, was it primarily the GPU? I'm wondering if it necessitated a full PC rebuild (as opposed to swapping out failed/failing hardware, for example)

The quality of renders you do would be taxing for any system older than a year! Too bad any Acting Lessons renders wasn't enough to give it a break😄.
