Awesome job - loving what you have done - best AVN ive seen so far , Cannot wait to see what you have installed for us

PewPwePew

I'll wait until the end :)

Lilatentakel

Yes, they really do need better equipment. The game is great and I'm happy to support them, but that wasn't enough. That's why I find DPC's performance brilliant.

Schobbob .

I know which game and I was pretty disappointed too, felt like only half an update worth of content. They clearly need to do it more like DPC and have multiple PCs for rendering.

Teufelhunde DJI

Sounds like things are going well. Can't wait to get my next Jill fix.

Dony

Let him cook!!

DrPinkCake

Don't worry. It's good that you ask. It helps more people understand the lingo.

Ahh I was always wondering I didn't want to be a idiot and assume

See the previous answer for the first step of building the queue. I save all files after posing them. All those files need to be rendered by a PC before they become an image. This process can take anything between 20 min to 2 hours per image, depending on factors such as lighting, complexity, number of characters, environment, etc. This is something I don't have time to start manually for every image and would like my PCs to take care of for me. I have numerous PC slaves - PCs that will take care of this task for me. I divide all the saved files on those PCs and start a script that will load a file, render the image, save the complete image, then unload the file; rinse repeat for all saved files that the PC has. Those images are then put in a folder that I've set up a local network for and can pull those images to my master PC from where I post-process the images in photoshop. After that, the image is done. The render queue is thus the name for all saved files that are waiting to render and become images.

As always Dr Pink, your the man, i cant wait to get my hands on the new episode.

Lilatentakel

Thanks for the explanation. I knew the general idea, but not every detail. Such explanations are great, so that everyone can get a feel for what you do.

Lilatentakel

I wanted to say that the supporters started a shitstorm under the corresponding post from the developer.

chris a settlemoir

What you mean discharging into their Patreon

chris a settlemoir

Dpc when you mean render cue and stuff what do you mean jw

DrPinkCake

A render is one image. Posing it entails the work behind making it, often associated with moving the character into position, adjusting their limbs and making their expression (talking/listening/reacting). First, I prepare a scene/environment and the characters that are supposed to go in it - prepare their clothing, makeup etc. I work with lighting and make sure the scene is lit properly. After this, the posing can start. Put the character in position, adjust it accordingly and place the camera that will "photograph" the image. Adjust the light, settings and other parameters to my liking, then when all that is done, save the file. Rinse and repeat the posing process within the scene until the scene is done. A small scene can have something like 10-30 renders in it. A medium scene 30-100. A large scene is anything above 100 renders. Meaning you repeat the posing process that many times per scene.

Draeken

What does it mean to "pose" a render?

Shiro

The doctor is cooking, love to see it! Excited for EP11 and happy to hear about all the progress! Have a great weekend Doc!

Nordwolf

Nice update. Looking forward to this party event. Have a nice weekend Doc!

Scott

Cooking is good, enjoy your weekend.

Brodymon936

Awesome work as always doc appreciate your existence

Lilatentakel

It's amazing what you're doing. And I really appreciate it and would like to thank you for it. And unfortunately I can appreciate that because yesterday another developer released their latest update and it was a huge disappointment for everyone. Not because of the quality or the story. After more than 10 months of development, a super short update with just "1,800" renders was released. The disappointment among the supporters is huge and is currently discharging into their Patreon. That's why I appreciate your commitment immensely. Many, many thanks.

Eray

Yes!I wanted the same thing bro.

Jonathan Hang
