how to use:
unzip and move folders in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\VTube Studio\VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Items
to change hotkeys, put into "model" folder and load as avatar to config, then copy the folder to "item"
To change skin and hair color - edit and tint the skin texture file in the folder
source file available in Tier 3!

I miss being able to replace a texture file and have it be applied to the top directly for me. It was super convenient and easy to use.

Thank you for this! I love the update, it was perfect for customizing. It does seem that the boob on our left (Her right) is glitching when trying to change the skincolor. I got around it for now just changing the files manually and using a vtube studio filter, but it does mean now a lot of things are tinted to deal with it for now. Is that something fixable on our end or would you need to adjust it?

yes you can tint the hair in the texture folder and reload the model
