ok i tried the save file itself after triggering the game to create the file. on that note a sequence error happened when i took over the port city i was able to meet the noble wanting to become the new lord before dealing with the rebels building the escape path.

Copy the save folder from the previous version, and paste it in the same location in the new version.

is there a way to get the game to read save files from a previous version or do you just have to restart each time?
