Well ethan has been acquiring a good number of shards as well as the rest of the people that survived the tutorial. Seems like the pylon, once upgraded, will allow the creation of housing and other facilities quite easily. Also @cal: chop-chop story boy! its been over a week!! Im getting withdrawal symptoms man i need my fix

Maybe 'Haunting thoughts', or 'Ghostbusters/burners' for the title. It's not superstition nor paranoia if you KNOW it'll happen. Let the foolish normies get consumed while you're safe in your bunker *manic laugher* If ghosts are about to become a real thing, just burn them. They are but a sentient application of death mana, so fireballs should work. In any case, whatever the situation, casting fireballs should be your first response XDXDXD I remembered what Ethan make me think of when he use the Elemental Crown, Firelord Osai in his final form !!! Man, what a great show. Shame they butchered Korra's plotline so much. Of course she is a real healer, she just didn't fall into the caster stereotype. Combats healers are a real thing, and there should be more of them in stories. With that said, Imani hold true to the healer spirit. After seeing Nico from Path of Dragons, it's a nice change ^^ In a world of levels, without special advantages yes, quality win over quantity all the time. And clearly all the ones present here will vote for Ethan. Winning against an eldritch tier 2 fueled by hundreds of peoples in 5 MNS tops is an amazing display of dominance. Him being so nervous around worship is a good exemple on why he'll never be a dictator. Too much social pressure, I'm fully aligned with Ethan on that XDXDXD I think/hope Ethan can play more with childrens like this. That would be a positive use of his powers while not killing bad guys. Also improve his PR, but he'll do it for the children smiles ^^ ////////////// Typos : “Yeah. He got away. He took a couple of shots at me before he ran though, so… keep an eye out.” > remove one space between 'ran' and 'though' “I’m sorry I didn’t get here faster,” he said, and he meant. > meant it.

Not sure I'm following the second part... Are you asking what's the outcome if Ethan doesn't transform the pylon into a relay but still takes control of the settlement? If so, it should become clear pretty soon. I don't mind telling as it's not a huge spoiler. (would prolly do it on discord tho... no way to spoiler-tag stuff here)

And of course, this pylon takeover is a major boon that will significantly help establish the group's foothold in the new order. That cube should mean a /significant/ number of saved currency, not to mention an immediate boost in functionality, whatever it is. I *do* have significant questions about how territorial expansion will work in cases where a pylon _doesn't_ become a relay for the conquering group's influence, though. Can said group just build a relay there later, if they needed the fragments or wanted to gamble for the upgrades?

A splendid ending in multiple ways. It serves to humanize and add a hint of valor to Dwayne's group, who we'd previously only been able to see in the light of "desperate and outmatched." A solid foundation to begin a relationship, especially with the prospect of the group joining together with the refugees to form a larger community. The only real issue is the concern that it might be difficult to feed and house everyone, and that low level individuals might have a difficult time rising up in status in the near future, which could mean there is a much bigger burden imposed than a boon. We shall see.
