I am not going write down a lot this week since I have a pile of paperwork to do (which doesn't mean you're not allowed to comment though, I am definitely going to answer those as soon as I have the time for it!)
I managed to animate another 45 secs and we're only ~3 scenes away from finishing the prologue.
I needed to increase the total number of scenes by 2-3 to sustain a nice pacing throughout the prologue.
Animating the gestures and facial expressions was quite hard, it requires a lot of experimenting and polishing but I absolutely can't complain about the results :)
What about DM?
Due to covid, my sound designer can't give a 100% of his week to finalize the sound at the moment but tries his best to finish it as soon as possible. Please understand that I can't go into more detail since would lay open his private life which I won't do.
I am deeply frustrated and disapointed that my country doesn't provide the necessary intelligent and obvious measures to help the citizens in some regards.
It stressed me the fudge out when stuff gets delayed. I don't want to be known as someone who doesn't finish anything. I really don't.
What's next?
We're going to finish the prologue and start with the next act which I am super excited for!
Hopefully all the paperwork gets done and I'll have the time to finally practise with the SFM Hammer tool a little :)

I appreciate the uplifting words and I definitely think it's more of a me-problem because it's very rare that anyone "complains" about the late release. To say the least, I just don't feel comfortable to row like that, which is the main reason why I made some changes on how I am going to release future projects and I am glad that everyone seems to approve of that! Glad you like how it turned it out! I am rather experimental with the horror genre and mixing in light moments like you mentioned. I am trying to find a nice balance between those areas while maintaining the main ingredient: The sexy stuff ;) I orginially intented to give Tina a trenchcoat for the prologue until she reaches the bunker but, like you pointed out accurately, I wouldn't be able to do any sexy angles with it :P The "problem" with Tina is that all her outfits are effing silly, at least from what I have in my library. Another reason to learn modeling programs to make outfits by myself! Yup, you nailed it with Tina appearing from the other side. Either there needs to be another scene inbetween to make it more believeable or I need to make some adjustments with the previous scene. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you, Jose :) I think it's less about rushing but more about knowing that it should've been released by now but it hasn't because of circumstance x. I understand what you mean though and we have to accept that for now.

Hi PD! First of all, I hope your bureaucracy troubles sort themselves out in a reasonable time. While the current situation has been going on for a while now, they ever-changing rules and regulations are certainly no fun for everyone involved. So, hang in there! Also, I don't think you need to worry about DM all that much. I doubt you'll be known as someone who doesn't release their stuff, given the amazing amount of WIPs you have presented every week without fail! And as for the people who aren't following you already, maybe it'll be a nice treat when the wait between DM and G2 feels shorter this way. That said, of course I'm looking forward to the eventual release! π I might be in the camp of people more excited for the DM plotline than the Gadabout one, as things are right now ... would be interesting if you'll try to converge both plot lines some time in the future, "Most Ambitious Crossover in History"-style. π No need to spoil it already, though! π On to G2! I really enjoyed these last two previews - it was "just" two people talking, but you find something interesting to do with the camera, and you play to your strengths with the facial animation! I think the beginning zoom out of the bustling city street is quite impressive, and a lively background like that is a first for the series! It's really good for "grounding" the plot, I think, because until then, we really didn't have much of a clue about the state of the world, since we only ever saw desolate places and a dream sequence. So, I think it helps a lot, and it was certainly worth the effort it must have been. It's kinda interesting for me how it all plays out, compared to how I imagined it reading the script. I kind of feared it might be a bit dark in tone, but you manage to lighten it up with the expressions, Tina's grandiose gestures, and the inherent silliness of her combat outfit - and I mean that in the best of ways! Juxtaposing a plot that takes itself seriously while also having outrageously sexy characters is something I really enjoy, in an 80s action movie way. And, of course, those fanservice-y angles are just delightful! π If there's one thing that had me confused for just a moment was when Tina was entering the helicopter. In my mental map of the characters, she was still at the side Lisa got into, because I never saw her walk around the front to the other door. It might just be me though, because the motion is pretty clear as soon as I know I should expect it. Just thought I should mention it as a little nitpick - and it's nothing more than that, because you're doing such great work with everything else! π Thanks for the lovely previews, I'm always looking forward to them!
