It's no secret that Conker has trouble dealing with a lot of things, and Berri's death is not the least of those. He was raised in a dysfunctional family - quarrelling, alcoholic parents and jobless, delinquent siblings. Thankfully, spending so much time with Banjo's loving family saved him from becoming like them... though, he's found comfort in drinking as of late.
Surely, rekindling his long-forgotten friendships will help him rebuild his life... right?

He was certainly happy to be away from home back when he was a kid! Over time, he learned how to block them out; keeping to his room, sneaking out regularly... Berri was in a similar situation, so naturally they hung out together a lot. Not to mention, Conker had a thing for tall and sporty girls, and Berri one for short and cocky guys. :P

Hopefully! It might take a whole for him to ease into it though, perhaps more time than they can afford for a week-long vacation together...

Funny enough, we had similar headcanons for Conker. I always imagined that he had a tough upbringing but fortunately spent enough time with friends outside the house to live a seemingly normal, happy childhood. They served as an escape from the chaos. Once he grew apart from his friends, then the impacts of his dysfunctional family took a serious tool on his life.
