I guess this is a bit less what Tiptup is in the story, rather than how I'd see him if he was a Pokemon evolutionary line... Don't read too much into this, there's no connection to Tiptup's backstory here!
Although now that I say this, maybe the fact that he comes out of his shell and eventually becomes this brave-looking... lad, is a bit similar to how he's trying to come out of his comfort zone and try new things.
I was thinking his base type would be either Rock or Steel (not Water, since there's already so many Water-type turtles). Thing is, I don't think Tiptup would be weak to water or grass, nor fire... So in the end I just gave him a Normal type, and he's got a couple moves from Steel- and Rock-types...

Oh these are perfect. I love that he's vehicle based (would all the DKR crew have vehicle themes as pokemon? That would be interesting!) Honestly I think his first evolution may be my favorite. The fast looking turtle shell is just too perfect, though his airplane mode is pretty boss too!
