🕑 Added 2024-11-20 17:00:09 +0000 UTCFollowing the trend of the previous prototypes, we immediately cut to Conker enjoying his time at the pool. The final version had an extra page to introduce this segment) introducing the pool, which is not portrayed here. And, the final version didn't have Conker in the pool until Banjo gets involved, but he does have to "swim" through a sea of plump guys.
So far, the final version has followed these prototypes pretty well, but starting at this segment, more liberties are taken as I altered the story as I went along. The general idea is still there, but it's portrayed differently...
Banjo does ultimately grab Conker's foot and tickle it, but unlike the final version where Conker was entirely submerged, Conker is still at the surface in this. Conker does end up looking down and noticing Banjo, although this time Banjo isn't nude like a water nymph.
It's fairly obvious that the final version is a dream, but this prototype is a little less obvious... I don't think the tickling is a dream! What is happening here...

People should share it more often! I love seeing behind-the-scenes and "beta" stuff from people, even if it's bad, it shows the foundation of their work.

Gosh, I know that most authors and artists do it, but seeing the sheer amount of work people put into versions that never see the light of day is astounding!

Evidence at least that Conker loves Horny Banjo... Or at least his subconscious does!

I'll admit that I've loved everything from chapter 4 onward that I hadn't read through the earlier chapters in a few years. There was a lot that I forgot. Naughty Banjo from the first drafts eventually made its way into the final version, just in Conker's dreams.
