Holy crap! This story of Charles Percy‘s defeat by the Israel lobby in the 1970s is a profoundly disturbing adumbration of the serial defeats we witnessed this year of supporters of Palestinian liberation. Incredible - the executive of the United States was vilified for merely evaluating the “special relationship”. Madness!

Incredible story well presented. The lobby is so intertwined with the machinery of both parties, the military industrial complex so wrapped around our economics and the blind malice and ignorance of the American people so engorged with Islamophobia and settler colonial ennui that it would take a political miracle on the scale of the Yucatán meteor to change direction. The only force in the world to stop the madness is Israel’s inevitable self-defeat. No breath holding there.
