My Joe Rogan Experience (Early Access + Writing Some Thoughts)
🕑 Added 2023-03-09 05:24:32 +0000 UTCPutting down my favorite highlights from going on the Joe Rogan Experience on video, but also wanted to reflect a bit more here on Patreon in ways I can't really do on Youtube.
The show was the most surreal moment of my time on "Youtube", and as I left Joe's Austin studio I had this weird "what now" moment.
There's sort of no where to go after appearing on "Joe Rogan". It's the biggest podcast in the world, and basically the biggest platform for a channel like mine to be on, even bigger than a TV News Show or Late Night Show.
This fact is both extraordinary to contemplate but almost demotivating as well. Maybe "we peaked"... Or so I was thinking as I got back in my car and made the trek back home...
But as I was driving, I realized... this isn't true in any meaningful sense. From a "views" standpoint, sure Joe Rogan is a huge platform, but that's not what this is about. At the end of the day the things I'm most proud of with this show isn't the views... it's the impact.
Putting Jay Mazini in prison for wire fraud, getting Logan Paul to commit millions back to victims, exposing Save The Kids... THESE are the things that actually make a difference!
And from that perspective, we are just getting started, because if people resonate with our show so far, it just energizes me to double down on the show and push for more change and justice for victims. It's a good reminder that impact trumps everything.
Anyways, I have tons of new plans in the works, but wanted to celebrate the "W" with all of you who helped get me here.
<3 - Stephen
P.S. I made a small error in the show and called bitcoin/ethereum "tokens", when technically they're crypto coins because they have standalone blockchains. Meanwhile crypto tokens are assets which exist on top of an existing blockchain like ethereum. Wanted to make that correction.
P.S.S. Yes I deliberately avoided "culture war" topics. Joe has an unfortunate habit of steering a lot of conversations into political sludge that I know nothing about and I felt it would take away from the message if I engaged. I'm just not an expert on everything, or indeed... even most things. Luckily I think I only had to shift the conversation once or twice, but if you listened and thought I sounded a bit uneasy in those moments... I was!

I love your thoughts about being on the Joe Rogan podcast. I love to see and experience a humble person. Please stay safe man. We need you. Much love. I wish I could ask you questions about your experience. What if you did a fun AMA? I think that'd be pretty cool! But you're busy though too. Just a thought though!!
Jason Blanzy
The world has been needing someone like you for a long time especially in these cryptomodern times. You are continuing in the spirit of Snowden. And no need to tread on government and politics, your influence will indirectly find its way to them, especially since money and influence is what ultimately manipulates power. Keep your heart focused and all things will find their right place. Good luck and looking forward to learning more ways coffee can keep our cups full.

I really appreciate how every time Rogan brought up one of his crackpot conspiracies Stephen just didn’t engage. Absolutely perfect way to talk to people when they’re talking nonsense and you want them to see your point of view.

Keep pumping the stock.

One question, if I can ask it Stephen. As someone who does deep. expose journalism in an informal media environment, it's clear that you have your own code of journalistic/reporting ethics, procedures or standards you hold yourself on to. For transparency's sake, would you be able to expand and clarify those one day?
Aaron Woo
The Culture War's like a nuclear exchange - the only winning move is not to play, or you might accidentally decimate your own turf too.

It’s awesome to see you there and congrats!! Why do you think he’s not posting about it though on Instagram? He’s never made a post yet with you saying to check out the episode?
James Geers
Rogan is a right wing conspiracy theorist himself who delights in platforming and legitimizing the same under the transparently fake guise of telling "both sides". I agree with everyone saying they dislike and distrust him and that Coffeezilla did an awesome job of not getting drug down Rogan's political mudslide. As others have also said, at least we can cross crypto fraud off the list of destructive fads Rogan won't be making more popular.
Bruno Yorda
Congratulations on this new achievement! I'm glad you were able to overcome that weird feeling you got and that the situation gave you even more strength to keep fighting the good fight. Happy to be a supporter!
Maryzilla
☕️🤍he’s crosss pollinating a little off your shooting star, my man, I felt.

My level of trust of Joe Rogan is also low. At least he won't be trying on any NFT schemes now. :D

You are a good man

I am so moved by your statement in this podcast. I'm a long time lurker of your channel. When I see what you're saying on the podcast, it open up my eyes and truly see what your vision is and the reason behind all of this. You're doing the Lord's work. Never stop
Ron Coleman
Haha, great hit, Coffee! You're en fuego
Nick Frimpong
I immediately listened to the whole thing once it became available! So exciting! You did great and indeed this W of appearing on the JRE should be celebrated! Super happy for you! You dodged the culture war bullets very nicely! Well done overall... P.S.: I'm a huge crypto nerd and calling BTC/ETH, that are technically Layer-1s, tokens is not a big deal. In the grand scheme of things we will let it slide ;)
Zackery Gordon
Congrats on making it on the Joe Rogan show! That's awesome!

You did an amazing dodging all the inflammatory subject-traps. I was so impressed by how you didn't let him drag you into the muck. It would have been so easy to just play it safe and agree with everything he said, or to try to correct some of the rather flagrant logical fallacies that he was presenting you with, but the way you constantly redirected the subject to neutral ground was always on point man.
Paul Kang
that was a great convo, really interesting insights. kinda got a 'passing on the torch' from all the topics y'all talked about
The Last Scientist
Great work. I like both Joe Rogan and you. He's a great interviewer and you did well on the interview. Kudos for avoiding the culture war. Unless you want to be a soldier in the culture war it's best avoided.
Andrew Becker
Honestly have zero respect, and frankly, quite a bit of disdain for Joe Rogan, but I guess if you could use him to boost your platform then whatever. It still makes me slightly uneasy knowing how that cockroach uses his own platform much of the rest of the time. And frankly, I think if you just keep doing what you're doing you're going to be at that dude's level at some point anyway, because look at how much you've shot up in just the last couple years. I started following the CZ channel when it had something like 10k followers and you were just starting to look at fake gurus and now you're coming up on 3M just a couple years later. The work speaks for itself and Joe Rogan would be lucky to be on YOUR show. Regardless, all my love, keep up the incredible work.
Uncle Matt
thanks for your work buddy. i appreciate all you do for us regular folk.

Pump the Zilla!!! Congrats Coffee!
Randoir
JRE is going to launch you to the moon !
Jan Sapper
Yep, very well handled! You also veered away from bullshit, like when they tried to get you to comment on the Superman actress‘ photo they *didn‘t* show in the final cut. 👏👏👏
Adam Murrell
Lol it’s PPS, post postscript. Love you.
Alien_Seit
Hey Coffee, Proud of you and how far you've gotten on your crusade against the crooks. Regardless of political standing, no one can cop crooks and their crummy crap. Keep it up, and I'm so glad that you attempted to avoid the politics - gets grimy.
Fernanda Alario
Don’t care about Joe Rogan but Coffee you, sir, are at the top of your game. You should be inviting HIM to YOUR show. Should he be so lucky!
Jules Marquette
I was excited to see you there and listened to the whole thing the same day. I’m glad he had you on as an expert on the crypto scam space and deferred to your knowledge. However, I noticed during the parts that you were uneasy, like the political topics; you started to use fillers and say “like” 10x more than at the beginning of the podcast. Coming from a supporter, it was sometimes a little hard to listen because you would use the word “like” every couple of words. But that’s okay! Going into the world’s biggest podcast and having an impromptu, off-the-cuff 3-hour-long conversation with someone you’ve never met in front of millions of listeners is not for the faint of heart. You did a great job, and I’m looking forward to hearing you on more podcasts. I figured that you don’t mind feedback. Besides the parts you were uneasy about, it was a great listen!
Mamdouh Alsarayreh
Deep fake joe rogan sounds a lot like Kanye west
NaiaRose
Kudos for setting and holding the tone for this interview -- you are so authentically yourself here, not allowing the conversation to veer off in unnecessary directions. This felt like Rogan had come on your show, not the other way around. Well done.
lulu Gregory
To be honest I’ve never heard of joe rogan.. maybe it’s because I’m in the uk? But congratulations, but you for sure haven’t peaked… like you said there are so many scams around and you are casting awareness and visibility to potentially save people from financial ruin.. that my friend is a saviour thing to do and it seems if anything it’s becoming more and more common! Hopefully as your platform grows you will also make these people think twice before they pull these scams also.. the work will never be done! You are doing a great great job!
veneer
I fell for a scam a few years back, and the guilt and shame I've carried with me has been heavy. It's so easy to look at things like these from the outside and wonder, "How would anyone fall for this? It's so obviously fake." (that includes me, before I fell for it...) Thanks for showing the victims' side!
Tobias Müller
You didn't peak. You're going to the moon my friend!
Brian Gibson
Political sludge is what every show tries to steer things towards. But now you know on the next show what to expect and get an idea of how to tactfully steer clear of those topics, especially when you don't have all the necessary details of certain topics. But that's what I would've done. Glad you came out unscathed :). Well, that's just the start. More to come. Congratulations on the big showing. Joe said it right. How and what you do resonates with most of the people that sub or Patreon your channel. Whether its those that have been wronged in similar circumstances or those that feel the same way about the scourge of scams but don't have the smarts to do what you do to make a difference so they go and support an individual who they see gets it and delivers it in a comprehendible format.
Adnan Najamy
Hey👋 I know your brother😊 he's my dentist
Adnan Najamy
It's really annoying that he did not react much since he praised Logan a lot😂
Scott
Congrats Coffee, getting to talk to an absolute legend like that….Rogan must have been through the roof happy.
Cassie Scott
So happy you got this opportunity after putting in so much hard work for your audience and for victims. Super excited to see what else you will deliver going forward.
Ian Weston
Just a new milestone, onwards and upwards.
Coffeezilla
Thanks Carrie. it was a huge opportunity to shine a light on these scams and I'm glad the message is getting out there.
Coffeezilla
I feel the same. It's just not my lane of expertise so I can't imagine how I could add anything, much less would I feel qualified to pontificate off-the-cuff in front of that many people. YIKES!
Pat Mifsud
Great video
Louie Marsella
Got on there before Logan AND got to dunk him once more. Truly a GOAT🤌🏼
Ivan Zeng
One of the only Rogan podcast episodes I listened to, and I could definitely tell when you steered that stuff away from the trash heap of political sludge. Major props, I can’t stand that stuff.
Jason Marc Campbell
It was so exciting to see you on Joe Rogan! Mad respect, congrats and keep it up.
Carrie
I'm not a fan of Joe Rogan but I'm also like I can't think of a better platform to spread your message given the demographoc of his show. Congrats man.

Dear lord man

Looking forward to listening
