I'm really showing my age, but back before the Bre-X fraud it was trendy for brokers to go on TV and announce picks of small cap stocks on poorly regulated exchanges. They'd do wash trading, pump and dumps, and everything trendy in crypto today. Although it was obvious they were manipulating the markets they got away with it for a while.

What's crazy about the whole "not financial advice" is of course you're not an advisor, but you are an "influencer". The entire point of your existence is to influence people to do what you're doing.

Love it, and you are of course right about KSI’s actions. Ultimately his fans’ defense will probably not be “it wasn’t financial advice”, it’ll be “JJ is a good dude, even if everything you have said is factually correct, he’s never done anything maliciously and anything he has done wrong has been by accident or in ignorance of whether it’s wrong or not”. Not sure if there’s anything you can say against that but I think that’s what his fans will say. Keep it up!

Really the key defense of KSI is basically “I like him so he couldn’t be bad” so it’s hard to fight against that logic, but I love your investigations so please never stop exposing influencers!!

Can you dig into PolyMatters YouTube channel? They seem to be sponsored by China but are subtle about it. Tons of China videos, all with "nuance" showing pro Chinese perspectives. Zero videos about Uyghurs or Xinjiang. Frightening lack of transparency for a "nuanced" geopolitical YouTuber
