Progress update #5
🕑 Added 2024-03-16 10:42:07 +0000 UTCIt's been a little over a week since I released the newest update in Early Access.
I've not gotten much feedback yet, but what little I have recieved has been positive, so I've decided to start focusing on the next part :)
Story:
Using the flowchart, I've begun planning out the new update - what previous choices I need to keep my eyes on, how they will affect the story, and where the different paths should go. It's still in a very basic phase, but it'll give me an inkling on where to begin.
I've begun writing out the very first part, since I'm pretty sure how that should go.
Art:
I've also been planning on what assets I might need to this update. We might be seeing some new locations and characters during this part, so I've kept my eyes open for what I might need.
23 CG's has already been rendered and are ready to be implemented into the game, as soon as I've finished the script for that part.
Next step:
First, I'll need to finish the flowchart. I use that as the foundation when I'm planning and writing the script for the game.
Secondly, I need to get my hands on all the assets I might need. If I have everything available, it'll make the rendering phase that much easier.
Thirdly, begin writing the script. I plan on doing one path at a time, so I don't end up with lots of half-way finished bits and pieces later.

Thank you, I’m happy you like the game so far! I’ll keep in mind the conversational snippets, it’s nice feedback. Animations won’t be in the game, that would slow down the process exponentially - but I might make a few just to share for fun if I have the time.

Your project shows lots of promise and is definitely worthy of support. The party was quite enjoyable although ideally I would have hoped for even more tiny conversational snippets that involve all potential LI's. The Trent, Nathan and Oliver scenario was providing that sufficiently for example. Given how complicated the road ahead will become(juggling a plethora of potential routes), I hope your efforts will spark immediate recognition and success. Animations are great but they come at the expense of resources and ambiguous reception(e.g. Being a DIK). Maybe it shouldn't be top priority?

Yeah, it takes a bit of time to make a realistic animation, but I can maybe make some to share at least :)

The animation looks really good! Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing some in game but also get that it’s extra work xD
