No I think Stephen’s crisscross take is right! i saw her before she blew up in a small ass venue and she was phenomenal 😭 i was only like 20 feet away from her maybe less and it was AMAZING 🥹 so glad you guys actually liked the album and was able to appreciate it for what it was even w/o being the demo. 🫶🫡

I wish I could go back and listen to this album again for the first time. I discovered Chappell back in 2014 when she still went by Kayleigh Rose on YouTube. To see her growth and success is absolutely incredible, especially for a queer outspoken woman who has been trying to make it for the last 10 years. I was at both her Bonnaroo and Lolla sets last year and to see a woman like her break attendance records was for the ages!!! She was so deserving of best new artist and it’s a huge win in more ways than you think. Thank you both for appreciating her music and understanding her pov the best you can!!! 🫶🏼
