Fabricator: Chapter 19
🕑 Added 2023-03-07 16:31:32 +0000 UTCThe red glow of the teleportation circle inside of the ORC clubroom faded out to reveal Junichiro standing within it. Rias looked up from her paperwork and smiled at him, “Welcome back, how did your first job go?”
In response, Junichiro walked up to her desk and set down a check for one hundred thousand yen, “It went well, customer was very happy when I left.”
He did not mention that the customer was also very busty when he left. It seemed that Mil-tan put all the muscle from her male body into the chest of her female form. The skimpy magical girl outfit hadn't changed much, just modifications to match the new female form.
Rias looked a little surprised. Truth be told, sending Junichiro out to handle Mil-tan was a little bit of a prank. She didn't expect him to actually succeed and come back with payment. Thinking about it with hindsight though, she should have known he would succeed. He hadn't shown her nearly everything he could do but the things she had seen should have been enough of a clue. Hell, just the gifts he'd given her and the rest of the peerage were something that should be impossible.
While Rias accepted the check, Junichiro added, “Mil-tan is very happy with the magic wand I gave her to change into a magical girl. It will need to be recharged with demonic power on a regular basis.”
Rias arched a delicate eyebrow as she looked over the check in her hands to lock her blue eyes on his black, “So, not only did you fulfill the request, but you made sure there would be repeat business with the customer?” She grinned brightly, “Well done. I don't have any other appointments with you tonight. If you'd like, you can head home.”
Junichiro nodded and vanished with a puff of smoke utilizing his portal gem to teleport home. As soon as he arrived, he sat at his desk and proceeded to slam his head into it over and over, “Stupid. Stupid. Stupid!”
He could hear Ddraig laughing at him in his mind the entire time he punished himself. Once he felt it was enough, he stopped slamming his head down and called out, “Computer, replicate a freestanding wooden door with proper supports to hold it up.”
With a flash of white light the system in his house created what he had requested. As he walked over to the door, Ddraig spoke up, 'Are you sure this is a good idea?'
Junichiro shrugged his shoulders, “While normally I'd be a little more worried about messing with space-time, in this case I'm not too worried about it. This should be pretty simple, comparatively speaking.”
Ddraig hummed for a bit, 'Well, it what you're planning works out, it will be a great boon.'
The twin gauntlets of the Boosted Gear manifested on his arms as he prepared to make what was probably going to be the most power intensive item thus far.

Junichiro shuddered as power flooded though his body and strained against it. Any more power and he'd likely die from the strain of containing so much power. Best to get rid of it. He placed his hands on the door as they began to glow green while violent thick red bands of lightning wrapped around the door and door frame.
Junichiro began dumping massive amounts of power into the simple wooden door as he focused on his desired result. He frowned a bit as he felt some resistance in what he wanted to make for the first time ever. Despite the power he was pumping out, something else was limiting his creation... The Workshop refused to let him go past a certain point. With a grunt of annoyance, Junichiro finished making the item, though it didn't quite live up to his expectations, it would still be helpful.
“Looks like I might actually need a balance breaker for The Workshop to make a full scale one, Ddraig.” Junichiro commented as he rubbed his throbbing head.
Ddraig snorted, when he spoke the orbs on the back of Junichiro's hands flashed, “About time that little thing had a limit of some kind! Truly, the pure bullshit you've managed to do with it in its default state is just wrong!”
Junichiro couldn't help agreeing with Ddraig. Still, he'd gotten a lot out of what he wanted to make.
[RESET!]
“Shall we check it out?”
“Might as well, partner.”
Junichiro stepped in front of the door and gripped the handle. He twisted the knob and pulled the door open. Instead of seeing right through to the other side of the room, he found himself staring into a wide open area that consisted of nothing but white emptiness. The only thing within the emptiness was a large hourglass filled with sand, though none was falling from the top to the bottom at the moment.
Junichiro had created his own version of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber from Dragonball Z. Unfortunately, he couldn't quite get the time compression right. Seemed like messing with time more than had had would require his balance breaker.
Ddraig spoke up with a slightly impressed tone, “How good is the time difference?”
“Only a twenty-four to one ratio. Twenty-four hours inside is equal to one hour outside. Not as good as the three sixty-five to one I was aiming for, but it will definitely work! I can get eight full days of training and work done in the eight hours I would spend sleeping at night.” His grin grew positively feral, “I wonder how strong I can get the other peerage members using this and the possible ten days Riser will give Rias before their rating game.”
He could just imagine how glorious the look on Rias's face would be when he explained that he had a way for them to turn ten days into two hundred and forty days! That was basically two thirds of a year. Combine that with the instant demonic power regeneration, his hardlight holograms, and replicators for food and items, and you have an amazing training environment that could provide anything and everything needed.
Speaking of replication and holograms, he dropped the last of his scrap materials and quickly made a portable version of what was inside of his home. This caused his headache to grow a bit worse but he had the solution to that in hand. He stepped into the new room, which was a massive dimension all on its own, and closed the door.
The moment the door closed, the huge hourglass in the center began to move. Grains of golden colored sand fell from the top half to the bottom. As they filled the bottom they would mark the amount of time he'd spent inside and let him know when he should leave. Though, the hourglass was mostly for looks and ambiance. At the base of the structure was a small panel that could be opened to reveal how long it's been inside and outside of the chamber.
Junichiro set down the portable projector and called out, “Computer, I need a fully enclosed master bedroom with a king sized bed.”
Hey, he had a massive space so he could have a massive bed! His command was instantly fulfilled and a new bed appeared nearby. He'd already had a full day and his head was killing him, he could get a full nights sleep. Thanks to ordering the room enclosed, he was separated from the glaring white of the empty expanse. He'd spend some time using the replicator to build a nice resting area over the next few days. He had at least eight hours of sleep coming, eight full days to spend inside of this room doing whatever he wanted.

Junichiro stepped back into his apartment shortly after dawn the next morning. He'd spent eight solid days doing nothing but working on getting used to his current set of abilities and training in combat. The next time he got into a fight he was going to dominate without having to resort to simple overwhelming power.
He'd started with ditching all of his items and focusing on what he had without them. Namely, Senjutsu, Touki, Devil Magic, the Power of Destruction, and the Boosted Gear. All things that couldn't be taken away as easily as his other items could be. On top of training in those abilities, he'd made himself a full set of work out equipment. Of course, it wasn't a simple weight set. Instead, it was a variable weight set that could be increased to several tons. He could now bench press a solid one ton without any enhancements.
He'd also spent some time on every one of his magical gems just to get at least a feel for them and know what they felt like to use. His favorite was definitely the Psionic's one. Telekinesis with unlimited power behind it? Totally broken. It also didn't hurt that moving things around with his mind made him feel like a Jedi. He may, or may not, have made a couple of lightsabers during his relaxation time.
He was doing his best to reel in his scattershot of abilities and items to focus and strengthen what he could. Looking back at it, after some deep meditation, he realized he'd kind of freaked out after the incident with that fallen angel and gone crazy looking for any power he could find. He now had plenty of power and while his base state wasn't enough to fight the heavy hitters like Kokobiel, it gave him a hell of a jumping off point for boosting. Add in his unique instant boosting and he had little to fear, strength wise, from most opponents.
Now it came down to his skill and experience, of which he had very little practical experience. So, he asked Ddraig for help and used his holographic system to make opponents to fight against or teachers to learn from. Tapping into Ddraig's vast experience had been a stroke of genius. It let Ddraig relive his past glories and the glories of his wielders while giving Junichiro lots of sources of training and sparring partners to call on. For his part, Ddraig was happy to help. Ddraig considered Junichiro his partner, he wouldn't hold Junichiro's hand and walk him through life but, if asked, he would offer advice. It was very rare for him to find a partner that pushed themselves as Junichiro did. Usually they relied far more heavily on his powers and didn't really develop themselves all that much. Especially after they unlocked his balance breaker.
Junichiro had also worked heavily on his defenses, finally setting up a Caster Gun that would shoot him with varying levels of intensity to increase the magical defenses of his armor. He set it up to shoot him in the back while he focused on meditating. The grind was real and worth it. His armor could handle pretty powerful attacks from many different sources of magic now. Though he'd taken special care to focus on making his armor as resistant to light and holy energies as it could be. Ddraig was pretty certain that, at this point, only angels and fallen with at least eight wings would be able to get through the armor with some effort.
The last thing Junichiro had done was a major upgrade to his internal nanites as well as his infinite mana generator. He had them further integrate with his body and each other. The generator now provided energy to the nanites on a larger scale to help improve his healing. It still wasn't as good as the Phenex clan's regeneration though. It still required nutrients from his body to repair the damage done. The biggest update though was something he was proud of, he gave himself an inventory!
He gave his nanites the ability to open entrances to a personal dimension to store and retrieve items within it. Additionally, the nanites would catalog what he placed within the dimension and provide a visual display, on command, that let him visually see what he had stored within. Then, with a thought, he could retrieve any item he wished. It was infinitely better than the ring he'd been using up to that point. The best part? It was fully integrated into his body, which meant it couldn't be taken away from him as his ring could. If someone stole his ring, they could gain everything he had stored inside of it, a terrifying thought.
Junichiro walked toward the door to his apartment while glancing down at the most important item he'd made in the room, the new belt around his waist. It wasn't part of his nanite clothing like everything else, but an item all on its own. It had a dual purpose. First, it replaced the old bracelet he used to hide his growing strength. With a better understanding and more experience, he made the new belt have him appear as a low class devil, around the strength of Kiba.
Secondly, it acted as a full body resistance trainer. It tapped directly into his infinite generator to power itself and wrap him in a field that he had to fight against constantly. It limited his entire body to the movement speed and strength of a normal human. As he grew stronger it automatically compensated and kept him stuck at the same level of strength until it was released. At the same time, the field around him acted as a barrier against attacks. The stronger he became, the stronger the barrier became, and the more damage it could block. If the barrier took damage or broke, it would automatically disengage and release his full strength.
His muscles had already reached the maximum amount of strength they could biologically have, according to Ddraig. Now it was all about magic being forced into the muscles to enhance them further than any biological system could be. Ddraig had advised him to work on letting his body and magic do the work naturally instead of trying to force it. Doing so would give him a stronger physical base to work from and gave him unlimited growth potential, it would just take time and effort. He could then layer Touki on top of that and naturally enhance his strength even further.
As he stood now, he could stomp Riser's entire peerage on his own. Now he wanted to push the rest of his fellow peerage members to the same heights. Thanks to his gifts to Kiba, Kiba was already significantly stronger and would just need some practice. He could give Akeno his now defunct Lightning gem to enhance her prowess with that field of magic. Still, she needed to do some physical work too, as she stood she was wasting half the power boost from her queen piece! He also needed to think of some gifts for Koneko and Rias.
He pondered what he could make for them as he slowly walked towards school. For Koneko, definitely something to further enhance either her physical strength or defensive power. In RPG terms, she was a classic tank and fought like a brawler. Maybe something to tap into her latent and neglected Touki and use that to boost her? Either that or something that let her hit significantly harder than she naturally could.
Rias... well he'd need to know more about her. He'd only ever seen the anime once or twice so he could really only remember story beats or 'arcs' in a general sense. Details kind of eluded him. However, he did remember that Rias seemed to only blast out her Power of Destruction at maximum and hope it wiped out the target. Not exactly the best way to fight, well, anything. Sure it might work on weak or slow opponents, but a simple dodge seemed like it would be her worst enemy. Satan forbid she ran into someone like Vali that specialized in speed. She'd be a sitting duck.
Thinking about it now, giving her unlimited demonic power might exacerbate her problem. She could now throw around the Power of Destruction for days and not care about technique. However, his experience in using it over the last few days suggested that the ability thrived when used with some form of technique. He'd managed to compress it a little into small balls and control them in the air. It was hard and he was still clumsy with it, but it helped with building his control over it. He'd have to help Rias train for something more precise than 'make it big and fire it.'
To that end, he planned to train his own Power of Destruction until he could do some of the ridiculous stuff he was imagining. Bullets of destruction? Kamehameha of destruction? Rasengan of destruction? Susanoo of destruction? He didn't know what the full limits of his ability to manipulate the shape and density of the Power of Destruction was, but he planned to find out!

Junichiro spent the next few weeks much the same as he had before, just adding an extra eight days worth of time within his time chamber to each day. He no longer focused on growing his strength and instead focused on his techniques and skills. He even upgraded the holographic system to be as realistic as possible when providing him enemies to fight. While he disliked the idea of killing people, he knew some people just needed to die or they would never stop. The realistic system let him get over the shock that accompanied killing. He didn't want to turn into a mess like he had after accidentally killing that one fallen angel.
Well, with one exception. He did take a sample from Akeno and gave himself Holy Lightning as a natural ability. He'd found a book on the rules for Rating Games and found that using his Holy Enhancement gem would be against the rules. The use of any Holy attributed items was completely against the rules. The only exceptions to the complete ban on holy power was natural abilities. Whether those abilities came from a sacred gear or being a reincarnated fallen, as long as it was something the person was 'born' with, it was allowed.
All told, he'd trained in his little dimension for nearly a full year over the last five weeks. Monday through Friday he spent eight hours, the equivalent of eight days, in the chamber. Saturday and Sunday he had more free time, but still had to do more devil work, leaving him with only fifteen hours, on average, on the weekends. He averaged an extra seventy days per week of training time. Not that he spent every last moment of that time just training. That would drive anyone batshit crazy... except Goku, but he was probably some definition of crazy anyway.
Aside from training, he'd just spent time in school and doing his devil work afterward. Speaking of school, there was a bit of a celebration three weeks ago when all three members of the perverted trio had been expelled. Not just expelled though. The police had been called and charges for sexual harassment and peeping had been filed against all three. Sona had handed over a massive amount of witness statements and every complaint filed against the three with the student council. Rumor was that all three were looking at possible jail time and even if they didn't serve time, they would all become sex offenders and be labeled with that on their records for life.
Junichiro felt the punishment was just. Issei might have had some redeeming qualities buried under his perversion, but that didn't change the simple fact that he was a sexual predator. Matsuda and Motohama might be objectively worse than Issei, but he willingly went along with their schemes and proudly screamed about his perversions in public. Junichiro was no prude and definitely found women like Rias, Akeno, Tsubaki, and Sona to be at least physically appealing. However, he would never peep on them or blatantly talk about wanting to squeeze their breasts in public. Did he want to feel them up? Sure. Did he like the idea of having a harem of beautiful women? What teenage male didn't?! That didn't mean he would run around screaming about it or break laws for just a look.
Anyway, with those three gone morale in the school had skyrocketed and Sona had never been more popular. Other points of interest were that Saji Genshirou had joined the student council, and Aika Kiryuu was currently suspended. Apparently she thought the new status quo on perversion only applied to males, Sona had disabused her of that notion pretty quickly.
The last bit of interesting news was something his ever going swarm of spy bots had revealed to him as he was walking toward the club room after school. Asia Argento would be arriving in Kuoh tomorrow.

I'll take that as a compliment. lol. On average my chapters are around 3-3.5k words on their first pass. By the time they hit Fanfiction.net they can be upwards of 4k words. Translated into paperback pages, that's around 12-14 pages per chapter. I think that's above average for most stories. Fortunately, this is the last bit before we hit canon hard in the story and things should pick up the pace considerably as Junichiro sticks his nose into things. Chapters should have 'more bang for their buck' from that point on and feel more fulfilling. I think. Lemme know if they're not!

The story is enjoyable and will continue to enjoy the training montages going on. Only suggestion is to perhaps delay each chapter so they're a little longer?. They feel, kinda, underwhelming when it comes to the length and rather than saying "I can't wait for more", I feel a little like saying "that was it?" For each chapter
