When we’re angry, we don’t have always have the freedom to express that. There’s always the risk of being labeled "the angry black woman". Holly & Nia did an episode of the Big Sis Energy Podcast about a year ago where Holly opens up about her experience on the show.

When I watch Dance moms, I ALWAYS stop watching at the end of season 4. I can’t stand watching the rest of it because it just got more fake than before and you two were no longer there with your kids. It was also in LA, and it stopped being about the sweet Pittsburgh girls and their moms. You 2 made the show along with the girls of course. Love you both so much! Hope you come to SF or LA so badly! I Completely believe your feelings are validated. But, if it helps at all I never thought you two did anything that should humiliate you. It always made Abby appear awful and not you. Even the fights I thought were justified.

It’s always so surprising when you all say Holly never held Abby accountable because we see it multiple times throughout the entirety of the show. One example being when she was calling out Abby’s typecasting of Nia and Kelly actually said Holly was overreacting.

i hope you guys get the color back into the pod with season 5 & do weekly themed drinks that's so fun! I think you'll be very entertained with everything, however i imagine the production notes make it better because honestly the show gets boring and is basically all pickups covering the story there are way less raw fun moments
