🕑 Added 2024-12-01 04:00:17 +0000 UTCWe felt like doing some hehe's and haha's by doing a poll with films that if I remember correctly (my memory is shit), haven't been on a poll before.
If I am wrong then me sorry me dumb! <3
EDIT: Weirdly enough, I can't find Revenge of the Nerds anywhere at all; we'll jus t default to Good Morning Vietnam till I can actually find it; it's not streaming anywhere in Canada for us?? Sorry about this, but we'll find a way and make sure we do it sometime soon!

I can’t believe Good Morning Vietnam is winning. It’s a good movie but not what I would call a hilarious comedy

The guy that plays Ogre owns a bar in Chicago.
Chris Dubay
Please do Fast Times, it's like Dazed & Confused's long lost cousin, also there's like this hot chick and you get to see her completely naked like twice! It's awesome! Totally awesome!
Aaron Garven
That is a classic. As a kid in the 90s I said that movie looks so stupid. Last year i decided to watch it and loved the film. I wish I seen it back then
Richard Wood Jr
PLEASE watch my all time favorite comedy A Fish Called Wanda. Jamie Lee Curtis & Kevin Kline star with Monty Pythons John Cleese and Michael Palin. British heist movie. Die laughing funny. Boys, I don't want to oversell it, but it will change you down to your soul.

YALL NEED TO WATCH JINGLE ALL THE WAY! ITS FUNNY
Aaron Garven
Even though Revenge of The Nerds is losing but that is a must watch movie because it is so funny. Good Morning Vietnam is such a good film as well. Robin Williams improvises most of his scenes.
Emily Gray
OGER!!

Revenge of the Nerds did not age well. 😬 It is considered a classic though.
Rose Z
It's definitely a great recommendation for a movie to watch!

I just go based off of what they're considered when I search up the title of the films, I don't go in-depth into researching how much so they are of the genre they're listed as because we really enjoy going into any film as blind as possible!
YoureMrLebowski
definitely assault. and the cameras weren't cool either.

NERDS! NERDS! NERDS! NERDS! NERDS! NERDS! NERDS! NERDS! NERDS!
Rose Z
Good Morning Vietnam is not really a comedy. If this was not a laughs pole, that would be my vote hands down, but for pure laughs, it's not the one. Best movie on this list though...

I shall aid you on your quest, good sir. Another Fletch vote!

I mean by this logic every single comedy from 1910 to 2010 is off limits. Really just movies in general since every movie death exists only to entertain you which is just as perverse. Revenge of the nerds also degrades the entire male sex. These really stupid complaints are everywhere if you want to do this.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High still definitely holds up. True story about high school kids circa 1980-ish. Another fun comedy is the western 'Maverick' from 1994 with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, directed by Richard Donner, who also did the Lethal Weapon films.
David Zabel
Yeah, Good Morning Vietnam is a good movie with some good laughs but really isn't a true comedy, as one could tell by the title. I went with Fletch because it's a great movie I've long recommended that rarely gets reacted to. Nerds is pretty much in the same boat as well.

You need some Rodney Dangerfield movies if u want great laughs!!

Good morning Vietnam

I’ve had debates with my sibling about that scene. It’s deceit and non-consensual because of that deceit he deliberately goes into the building, wearing the same costume as the boyfriend and has oral sex with her before revealing who he really is and then she chooses whether or not to continue. So it’s bad, but I have issues with people who call it rape because as a child of the 80s him asking again about the intercourse after revealing his full identity doesn’t hit me as rape but yes, it’s deceit and coercion otherwise. Not saying it’s ok.
Heather Grant
None are bad but had to go with Robin Williams

Superbad
Jackson Neuman
C’mon guys, revenge of the nerds has to win, what even is good morning Vietnam?
sadden
My guys, Revenge of the Nerds contains a scene where a woman is sexually assaulted and it's played for laughs, maybe avoid that one.
Rhetorical Thrill
NERRRRRRRRRRDS
Emily Gray
Also, Revenge of the Nerds is one of those special raunchy movies made in the 80's that falls into the category of "there's no way in hell anyone could get away with making this today!"
Emily Gray
Ok.. Why is Good Morning Vietnam winning? Ok there's some funny in it, but's depressing!

Seconding George of the Jungle and The Ref! Especially The Ref which is my favourite Christmas movie after Die Hard. The Ref is hilarious and the cast is brilliant.
Katie Jackson

Idk any of them, but I'll take you at your word and vote for it!
Midgey_M
you guys should watch Last Vegas
Molly Campbell
I vote all of them! But for laughs go for Fast Times at Ridgemont High. It's a classic!
Callie Stephen
If you are looking for some great comedies, ‘Death at a Funeral’ (2007) is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Flypaper (2011) is also very funny.
Callie Stephen
Good Morning Vietnam is the best of these movies by far. It’s a shining moment for Robin Williams, that solidified his ability to carry a movie as more than just a comedic actor(Best actor Oscar nominee). However, while it is funny, it’s not a pure comedy either and definitely has some serious dramatic moments. Still, it’s the best of all these movies, so I’m still going for it.
Jacob Jones
Uhhh I'm not sure I'd describe good morning Vietnam as "for the laughs." Good movie though.
