Wrinkles
🕑 Added 2019-08-03 16:02:04 +0000 UTCI've had a number of requests over the past while for a guide to drawing clothing wrinkles, and I finally got around to it. It's an expansive topic and I probably only brushed the surface in a lot of areas, but I do hope it's at least useful enough to be worthy of the time it takes to load the image...>_>
If viewing a problem, I'll break this into separate images.
I will also upload a higher resolution downloadable PDF for all $2+ patrons shortly!

Yay, boob sleeves! Sorry, I'm not an artist; that's the best I can do. The stream where you were working on this was such a hoot. :)

This is so insanely helpful, you're the best!!

280% more intuitive than Burne Hogarth. I'd go to 300% if the last image was Rocky in the classic Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery moshpit pose.

Entertaining and informative as always!

I believe the Goblin King is infamous for displacing fabric in other ways.

Geez, I thought quantum physics was complicated. And very much thanks for delightful, entertaining and useful art 😁

Wonderful. PS: The "pants, magic pants" slew me. XD

I love everything about this. If I ever get back into drawing, this will go right alongside things I use as reference like your Construction and Expression tutorials.

Thank you so much! I can’t wait to apply some of these techniques to future drawings. You’ve got me thinking about wrinkles in all new ways.

The Goblin King has no wrinkles!

Delightful tutorial, very useful stuff! Is Zib canonically an artist now if he's narrating the whole thing? That'd be a fun touch!

No wrinkles for me, nossir! I have a generous supply of spackle, and I'm not afraid to use it.
Christopher Heiny
And thanks also for the"wrinkles incarnate" line. I'm going to use that the next time I'm forced into a freshly pressed tuxedo and my inner Zib's powerful rumple-field exerts itself.

Thanks for the wrinkle-science lesson!
