Yes I love this more please!

Ooh thank you for sharing! It's very interesting to see your layered files and work process. Personally, I love PSD files as downloadable content so it's definitely something I'd like to see more of. Hopefully I'm not being rude, but I'd love to see how you work on more complex backgrounds, like buildings or interiors. Currently I'm learning those myself and it's always helpful to get a bit of insight of how an artist you admire tackles the same subjects.

Thanks so much for the PSD files! :D If folks are having issues opening them, a layered .tiff file preserves *most* of the data while being more compatible with other programs... and you can save it straight out of photoshop.

Brittany Coleman

Oh I think that did it, thank you Tracy! :) I wasn't right clicking after downloading it so that was my issue haha.

Tracy Butler

There can be compatibility issues between widely disparate versions of Photoshop, I believe. You can "maximize compatibility" when you save out a PSD to try to mitigate that issue, but there may be some cases where it just won't work. I know some tools, like Procreate, can export to PSD as well, but seemingly with mixed results.

Tracy Butler

Have you extracted them from the ZIP file first? If you're working with a Windows PC, right click on the ZIP file and select one of the Extract options (Extract All, Extract Here...). That'll unpack the PSD so that you should be able to open it with Adobe software. PSD is native to Photoshop, but you should be able to open it with things like Lightroom too. If you don't have any Adobe software, I can upload a different format for you (though it won't have separate layers).

Hmm...I can't get these to open :c For some reason my computer is set to open zip files with Internet Explorer which is stupid within itself lol but I can't figure out how to change what these files open with to view these. Could anyone provide assistance please?

Katfeathers

I suppose they are good, but the ones that another artist posts seem to be in a PSD variant that none of my software recognizes as valid.

Maxwell

Yes! I love picking apart PSDs and seeing how the artist did their thing.

akrasia

Yes, please.
