I am sorry sad to hear that. I had to euthanize my 16 year old cat three weeks ago. I'm still broken hearted. I have been making creative projects to deal with it. Writing songs. Writing a story. Making a diorama from his toys… Losing friends and family is rough. And what I'm trying to say is that I understand such pain and wish you nothing but the best as you deal with it.

The loss of a friend is very hard, it took me a month to get myself back together again when I lost my dog. However there is a quote from Will Rogers, “If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.” I can assure you the same goes for cats as well. I know for a fact I’ll meet up with my dog when the time comes.

Sorry to hear and so beautiful a way to honor his memory. Fairly new here but I was aware , and so many of us have been there. They are amazing companions, I couldn't imagine life otherwise, they make us more than would have been without them, and it hurts like hell every time. But I wouldn't trade a single second spent, and so thankful they shared their lives with us and we could be there for them. Somehow, someway, I like to think we will see them all again.

So sorry for your loss, good thing is that your hard work on Lackadaisy has paid off and kept your mind off of it because if you had more time to think about it then it would hit you much harder. My doggie is getting on with age now and I can't even fathom the idea that his day will come at some point... makes me tear up even typing this.

I am sorry for your loss. I have lost many kitties over my span, and I can say from experience: it never gets easier. Still, I feel that it best honors their memory to open my home to another kitty in the hopes that they can have a life where they are loved and want for nothing other than a patch of Sun and a scritch on the ears. I do not forget those that went before, but to leave the house empty feels like another tragedy on top of the first. My recommendation: Go to the vet, the animal shelter, or even a pet store, you sit down with some kittens and see which one comes up to you and falls asleep. You will have been chosen. It won't heal the hurt of the passing of your other friend, but they would not want you to be alone.
